From his reaction, she figured the bite was the claiming, but probably the sex too.

So many emotions slammed into her at once as the high of their sex and her orgasm slipped away. Happiness, confusion, adoration, bewilderment. It was amazing, she loved it, sheabsolutely didn’t regret it, but it was still a lot to take in when her night had started very differently.

She’d gone on a date with a human, only to end up in the arms of this monster and become his.

A sob broke from her as she lifted her arms to wrap them around his neck, bringing him closer. “I don’t even know your name.”

Purring, the vibration tickling her nipples, he nuzzled his cheek against the side of her head. “That’s okay. You’ll have plenty of time to make up for it by screaming it for me.”

Then he stood, and she was so sturdy in his embrace that she didn’t even feel a nip of worry.

“Where are you taking me?” she whispered when he started to walk.

His tail opened the door to her workspace, his hands and horn limbs never leaving her body. “Somewhere soft, like you deserve.”

Her thighs tried to close around his hips when his strides made his cock wiggle side to side within her. Her breath hitched, then she moaned into his shoulder.

He didn’t even make it to her bedroom before he pushed her up against the wall and groaned as he drew his hips back only to shove in. “If you want to make it to your bed before I fuck you again, I need your little cunt to stop sucking on me like that.”

But it feels good.

She bit her lip and nodded, and he pulled away from the wall. The moment he took a step, and he shifted against her swollen, tender spot, she uncontrollably spasmed around him. A gasp shunted out of her when he slammed her back against the wall so hard her lungs clenched. A picture frame dislodged from its hook and fell as he started thrusting with a noisy, boisterous growl.

“My name is Vorg,” he said between grunts. “I’ll need you to moan that real sexy for me, okay?”

She nodded as her hand slipped up his neck and her manicured fingers dived into the back of his short blue hair.

Guess they weren’t making it to the bed yet after all.

Chapter

Twenty-two

Rolling over across her bed with a questing hand, Skylar expected to encounter a warm, firm body next to her. All she felt were empty sheets, and her eyes flashed open.

She sat up and looked around her room, finding it completely empty. There was no trace of the strange, beautiful man who had sent her to the brink repeatedly all night. It was as if she’d only dreamed of his hoarse, decadent groans, his body-tingling breaths, and the way his hands and limbs caressed her all over.

But it definitely couldn’t be a dream – not with the slick coating her thighs, the mess of her hair, and her sore throat from crying out.

She looked down at her chest bone and saw a black mark against her skin. It was a circle with a diamond shape in the middle and wiggling spikes coming out from each inward curve – or were they tentacles? Not quite what she’d been expecting. Then again, she also hadn’t realised it would appear on her skin like a tattoo, rather than just teeth marks.

So where was the one who left it?

She stretched a leg out as she listened to her silent house, then kicked something firm and small. The ferret bat, Skaarvar he said its name was, was on its back with its legs, arms, and wingsspread as if it paid rent.

Then something registered in the dim room as she leaned closer and a beam of light peeking through her blackout blinds pierced her poor eyes.

It was daytime. Not the muted light of morning.

Sucking in a breath, she scrambled for her phone and clicked the power button.

“11 a.m.?!” she rasped, throwing her blanket to the side to put her feet on the ground.

She unlocked her phone to call Kaylee, only to see multiple call and text notifications.
