“C’mon, man! You’ve got to have some crazy stories.”

He tensed his eyes, then smirked. “If I have to say something, I guess it’d be when this dude’s wife, the guy was high up, like CFO or even CEO. His wife bursts into our meeting, which was going well, followed by the admin. The wife was majorly pissed, and the admin comes skittering in after her, whisper-shouting that she can’t just barge in. But she does. And she walks right up to the guy, slaps him clear across the face, and slams divorce papers on the table. Then, she storms out, but not before looking the admin up and down and asking her name. The admin answers Lacy or something, and the wife throws her iced coffee right in her face, saying she heard how much she liked facials. Still closed the deal.”

“Holy fuckingshit, Alec! What!” I was drunk and animated, flying forward and back in my seat. At that moment, it was the most fantastic story I’d ever heard. “And you closed it? How?! What?!?! What company was it? Are they still an active client? Jesus fucking Christ!”

“Yeah, man. Crazy shit. They were…” his face reddened, and giggles leaked out of his resolve. “They’re, uh…” The damnburst as he laughed. “I’m fucking with you, man.” He laughed so hard his red cheeks were wet.

I laughed, too. The joke was better than the story.

He said, “Crazy shit doesn’t happen. Maybe seeing an old executive flirt with a younger coworker? Or getting middle managers so drunk they puke all over themselves. But that’s about it.”

Still laughing, I said, “That shit’s boring. You should’ve let me believe the jilted wife story.”

“Boring, but that’s real life.”

“So what’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done? Full stop?”

“Aww, c’mon man, like in my whole life? When I was in college and shit? You don’t wanna hear that.”

“Yes,I very much do.”

“Uh… fuck. Well…” It looked like he was thinking hard. “Uh, one time me and the guys on my floor went to this stupid, but mandatory dorm meeting balls-out naked.”

That was the wrong thing to say. I didn’t want to steer my mind further toward Alec’s nude body.

“What? Why?”

Alec chuckled to himself, remembering. “My dorm had shared bathrooms and showers on each floor. An RA, not our floor’s, didn’t like how some guys dried off naked in the common area between the stalls. We thought that was dumb as fuck. If you’re uncomfortable, just dry off in the stall. But most of us were used to it from playing sports, anyway. So, we walked down in just our towels, then dropped them once we got there. Got in trouble, but the look on that RA’s face was beyond priceless.”

I laughed too hard. It wasn’t as funny as his other story, but it was the best I could do to hide how aroused it made me. Alec didn’t notice my inflated hilarity, and must’ve thought his 19-year-old self invented comedy by how hard he laughed, too.

“Ok, your turn,” he said, still laughing. “I’m not gonna be the only one with an HR infraction.”

My heart thumped in my ears as I stared at him. If I wasn’t so drunk and horny, I’d never have said it. “I had a three-way with my buddy and his girl in college. Came in her, and then he gave me head after she fell asleep. To this day, it was the best blow job I ever had.”

Alec’s face dropped and then went red. It was his only slowed reaction. I could imagine what flew through his head. The personal and professional ramifications coming in fast and hot. He was my boss, and he had to play it right. Set boundaries, but also sound supportive in that corporate way.

Instead, he swallowed the surging ocean of awkwardness I pictured in his stomach, and laughed. “Good for you, man.” But the conversation was done, and he avoided eye contact.

I’d never seen Alec flustered before. Not unnerved, or uncomfortable, but rattled. And it washot. So fucking hot. I had never wanted to shove a man’s head into my lap more in my life. I would’ve too, right there on that bar’s little patio, if I thought there was half a chance he’d be into it.

We both laughed it off when nothing else was said. Soon, he emptied his glass. “Ready?”

I did the same with my beer. “Yup.”

Chapter Six

The cab ride back to the hotel was tense and quiet. A mix of Alec being uncomfortable, and me letting the horny demon inside take control. I’d catch his eyes just as they skittered away. His Adam’s apple bobbed up and down as he swallowed over and over. Once we were in the room, the demon was at the wheel.

He looked through his phone at the nightstand before getting undressed when I said, “You ever do anything like that back in the day?”

He didn’t look up from his phone. “Do what?”

“Have a three-way?”

He paused and looked up before turning to me. “I don’t think that’s any of your business, Blackwood.” He tensed his eyes, and I let a small smirk play at the corners of my mouth. “No.” He looked down at his phone. “Thought about it, but the wife would never.”

“I thought you were in an open relationship?”
