"Here you go," I say quietly as I reach around him to set his plate down. "Please make sure you eat those cucumbers, okay? It's good for you."

"Thank you, Daddy." Tyler says it quietly but I feel a rush being called Daddy in front of others. I hear Orion snicker and I know he's going to tease Tyler, but all in good fun.

"You're welcome. Don't forget to take your medicine with this, okay? It's in your pocket."

He promises to do as I asked and I kiss the top of his head before walking back to the other table. We keep conversation light while we eat. I know on the agenda tonight is a guest speaker on the Daddy lifestyle, one of the many reasons I wanted to come.

Rachel tells me about the application process for Club Thrive. I pull the website up on my phone and save it as a bookmark to remind myself to look more into it. They all share stories from the club— which is where Garrett and Orion actually met before Orion got the job here— and from their experiences in general. I enjoy listening to them, grateful that the way I'm feeling toward Tyler seems to be normal in a relationship with a dynamic like ours.

When the guest speaker, a man by the name of Uri, stands up and starts talking, I'm mentally taking notes. He hits a lot of good points, some things that I still had questions for. He's informative, descriptive, and even takes questions at the end. Garrett is the first to ask a question and that seems to open the floor for others to speak up. I don't ask anything, but I do get a lot of good information. I told myself I'd observe tonight and see how things went. It’s close to ten when we all part ways.

"Ty?" I take his hand as we walk toward the car.

"Yeah?" He squeezes my hand and I look into his eyes. They're reflecting the lights around the parking lot.

"I'm definitely a Daddy."

Tyler lets out a quick laugh at the bluntness of my statement. It makes me laugh too, but I'm serious. After talking with the group, learning more about the lifestyle and scene negotiating, the clubs, and family that can be built within the kink community, I want all of it.

"Does this mean that we can go home and I'll get to have my Daddy take care of me all day tomorrow?"

"Definitely, my Prince." I push him softly against the side of my car and kiss him deeply. To my delight, he lets out a surprised little squeak as our lips connect and my hands roam of their own free will.

Chapter Nine

"Goodmorning."Ihearthe words somewhere in the back of my mind. I don't want to open my eyes. I recognize the voice, but not enough to want to wake up fully. I roll onto my side, groaning at the hand that wraps around my shoulder. "Ty, you need to wake up."

"Don't wanna," I grumble. "Sleepy."

"I know, baby, but you need to take your medicine and eat something." Brandt. My brain finally registers his name and I roll onto my back and crack one eye open. The light is bright and I immediately close it again, groaning for a new reason. "Tyler, what's wrong? Your whole face just scrunched up."

I feel the bed dip next to me and Brandt's hands are cupping my face, turning me to what I'm assuming is facing him. I openmy eyes once more and recognize the concern immediately. "I'm okay. The light was just bright."

"Do you have a headache? Feel feverish? Aches?" His hands are trailing down my body and not in a fun way. In a nurse-checking-you-out way.

"I'm okay. I promise. I just need to get up and get my medicine and stuff."

"You did sleep a little later than normal," Brandt says. "And you stayed up late last night."

I take it slow as I sit up. I really don't feel bad, but I am hungry. Brandt reaches to the side table and hands me a bottle of water and two pills. "Take these and I'm going to get some breakfast. Are you okay with oatmeal and fruit?"

I take the pills easily and drink half the water while Brandt talks. "Sounds yummy."

I follow Brandt into the kitchen and sit at the table while he grabs bowls and the fruit from the fridge. I enjoy watching him work, especially since he's shirtless. His back muscles shift with each movement as he washes and adds the berries to the hot oatmeal.

"Smells good," I say when he sets the bowl in front of me. Instead of sitting down, Brandt leans down and kisses me softly. I tilt my head up, aiming to deepen the kiss, but he pulls away and sits down. I sigh dramatically, like it's the worst thing he could have done. He just laughs at me though.

"We'll have plenty of time for kissing later," Brandt says with a wink. "Do you have anything in mind for today?"

"Can we play Rescue again?" I ask between bites. The oatmeal is delicious.

"We can," Brandt says with a nod. "I was thinking maybe we could look at some toys and things for you to keep here as well?"

"Really?" I squint my eyes suspiciously and tilt my head slightly. "Do you want to keep things here?"

"I wouldn't ask if I didn't mean it," he says back, mimicking my expression. It makes me smile and I go back to eating. He continues talking, though. "I'm serious about what I said last night though, Ty. I want to be a Daddy, if you'll let me. I might not be perfect or experienced, but I can learn. We can learn together."

"I like that," I say. "And you're already a great Daddy. I've enjoyed our time together."
