If one was to consider nothing but miles and rate of speed, the trip from the Pennsylvania hills down to the Omega Destiny International compound in Texas technically speaking should have taken just over twenty-six hours. So, with a little effort, I could have made it in two days.

Hell, with a little more effort and enough coffee, I could have just driven straight through, but the camper was more comfortable than expected, no one was expecting us, and, frankly, Jeremy and I were enjoying the opportunity to spend time alone together.

We were enjoying that a lot.

After I’d caught Jeremy stroking one out while I slept our first day on the road, he’d blushed beet red and admitted that spending hours on end locked in the camper with me had him so horny he couldn’t focus. After that, we’d spent all day wrapped in each other, sleeping in between bouts of lovemaking and still pulling off the road for quick, dirty fuck sessions through the nights. And the more we screwed, the more my Omega wanted.

Why on earth would I want to rush a trip like that?

“Mm,” Jeremy stretched in the bed beside me, turning to snuggle into my side and rubbing his nose on my skin. “I feel so good tonight. I almost don’t want to get out of bed.”

“Yeah?” I brushed a kiss over his lips and leaned down to add one to his belly. “How’s the stowaway?”

Jeremy laughed. “Fine. She made me get up to pee about an hour ago, but other than that, she’s been pretty calm.” He kissed my chest and rolled into a sitting position.

“You’re moving better. Your hip isn’t hurting?”

Jeremy winked at me. “It hasn’t hurt in a couple of days. Apparently, a few solid fucks are the best treatment for sciatica. I wonder if the medical community has ever done a study on that?”

I laughed with him. “Maybe I should consider getting my medical license,” I teased. “I mean, I’m obviously a natural and all.”

We were still snuggling when Jeremy’s tummy growled. “Sounds like our princess is ready to eat,” I commented teasingly. We’d slept the day away parked in the back row of a small truck stop, so I’d planned on grabbing our meal in the attached diner and picking up a few necessities in the store before we hit the road. “Whaddaya think, Jem? Should we see if they have french toast?”

My Omega groaned nearly as loud as his stomach had growled and shoved playfully at my shoulder. “Bastard. You know that’s my weakness.”

Yep. I sure did. In fact, I’d made a point of learning all of my husband’s favorite foods and, whenever the opportunity arose, I fully intended to use that knowledge to my full advantage.

The diner did, of course, have french toast. And crispy hash browns. And thick slices of peppered bacon.

“Oh my God,” Jeremy groaned, shoving his plate away. “I’m stuffed.”

I smirked at him. “Well, you were last night, anyway.”

Jeremy gave me a stern look and tried to hold in a laugh, but ended up choking on it. “You are so bad!”

I winked at him and stood up, extending my hand to help him to his feet. “Well, let’s grab the stuff we need for the road and then you can decide if you want to spank me now or later.”

He was still snickering when he came to a sudden stop and I nearly ran into him. “Baby? What’s wrong?”

“Uh, nothing, probably,” he mumbled, biting down on his bottom lip and taking another step. “Let’s just get out of here, can we?”

“Yeah, of course.” I mentally ran over the list of things I’d wanted to pick up in the shop. Other than filling our gas tank at the pump, the rest could all wait. I wrapped my arm around his waist and turned him toward the parking lot. “We can stop and do some shopping later.”

“You’re sure you don’t mind?” Jeremy’s eyes were wary.

“Of course not.” I handed him up into the camper and walked around to my door. “Just let me fill the tank and we’re out of here.”

Once we were back on the road, I could tell my Omega was struggling with something, but, not wanting to stress him more, I tried to be patient. It took nearly an hour before my patience paid off.

“Alpha?” Jeremy’s voice was very quiet.

“Yeah, Baby?”

“Back at the diner,” he started, sucking in a breath. “Did you see that table in the corner that was ordering when we stood up to leave?”

“Yeah, but I didn’t really pay attention. What about them spooked you?” The long pause had me glancing at him out of the corner of my eye. “Jem?”
