Except, other than a couple of hot looks, Kade hadn’t really indicated he wanted me in that way and I couldn’t quite bring myself to ask for what I wanted. There wasn’t much I could do about the telltale change in my scent, but Kade seemed to have decided the polite thing to do was to ignore it. And, honestly, that was definitely better than him bringing it up while he let me down easy, so, sticking my head back in the sand seemed like a viable solution.

“Here we are,” Kade’s voice snapped my attention back to the present and I realized we were standing at the hostess stand ofAbove the Horizon, the resort’s fanciest restaurant. He gave his name to the young woman and her smile widened.

“Of course, Mr. Bauer,” she said warmly, handing Kade a small white folder and then turning to include me in her words. “And may I congratulate you on your nuptials?”

“Uh, thank you,” I managed to stutter as Kade flashed a warm smile.

“If you’ll follow me, we have your room all ready,” the hostess, Becky according to her sparkly gold name tag, assured us, her long legs eating up the floor as we walked through the large dining room to a small, private room in the back.

“Enjoy your meal,” Becky said with a smile. “And congratulations again!”

“This is..” I began, staring around in amazement. Our table was the only one there. It sat in the center of the small room, covered with a snowy white tablecloth laid with shimmering china and sparkling crystal that was lit by the flames from two tall candles. “Whatisthis?”

“A private dining room,” Kade said gently. “I wasn’t sure how comfortable you’d be out in the open, so I had them set us up in here when I made the reservation.”

My heart stuttered. “Thank you.”

Kade gave me his easy smile. “You don’t need to thank me.”

I looked around, noticing for the first time that we hadn’t been left menus. Kade saw and reached for my hand.

“They offer a special seven-course meal here,” he said softly. “If you don’t like what they bring us, all you have to do is say and we’ll request something else.”

He’d barely finished speaking when our waiter appeared, bearing a bottle of non-alcoholic champagne and a tray of sliced baguettes artfully arranged around a baked Brie with a berry glaze.

“Oh, my goodness,” I murmured as Kade reached for my plate and began to place a generous helping on it. “That looks amazing!”

Amazing was such an understatement. The sweet and tart berry glaze over the mellow flesh of the Brie was a nearly orgasmic experience. I was on the verge of pronouncing it the best thing I’d ever eaten when the waiter returned, replacing the empty platter with a fresh display of miniature Caprese salad kabobs. Those were followed with baked sole fillets, pan-seared pork medallions wrapped in brown sugar-infused bacon, and then braised beef ribs in a robust red-wine sauce, all served with a medley of side dishes dabbed on the plates.

After the last of the main courses, the waiter reappeared with decaffeinated coffee and a tray of sweets. Just when I thought we were done, the final platter arrived with a flourish. Cheese and sliced fruit was laid out in a delicate floral design that was accentuated with cinnamon almonds and sugared walnuts.

“Holy crap,” I groaned, leaning back in my chair after the waiter removed the plates for the final time. “That was amazing. Thank you.”

“I’m glad,” Kade’s smooth voice was deeper than usual, his amber eyes warm as he gazed at me in the candlelight. “Did you get enough to eat?”

I would have laughed if I hadn’t been completely trapped in his gaze. Instead, I just nodded.

“Good,” Kade stood and walked around the table, easily pulling me to my feet and, as he always did, waiting patiently for me to find my balance before he released my hands, raising his to cup my cheeks as he leaned down to kiss me, his lips hard and demanding. “Because my plans for you are far from over.”

My heart leaped at the depth of promise in his voice as he wrapped his arm around me and led me back into the main dining room, this time turning the opposite direction from that which would take us to the garage.

When the elevator stopped, we were on the top of the world, staring out at the city through a plate glass wall.

“Gorgeous,” I murmured, staring out at the beautifully lit night sky.

“Yes,” Kade agreed, but when I looked at him, he was staring at me with a hunger in his eyes that made my blood throb in my veins.

He took me by the hand, leading me down the dimly lit hallway before stopping in front of a door, pulling the small white folder from his pocket.

“What are we doing?” I asked, ignoring the breathless excitement in my voice.

Kade swung the door open, revealing a luxurious suite with wall-to-wall windows, the curtains open wide to reveal the breathtaking view. “There’s no way that my Omega is celebrating his wedding night in a camper,” Kade growled, pulling me inside and closing the door behind us.

I sighed as he turned me to face the window and stepped up behind me, scraping his teeth down the sensitive skin of my neck and making me shiver.

“Want you so much,” Kade murmured in my ear, running his big hands down my sides.

I leaned back, rubbing my ass against the thick bulge pressing against his pants. “Please,” I whimpered.
