He was also nearby, willing to travel, and on PrEP, so, in other words, probably willing to bareback me.
Perfect.
I didn’t waste any time typing out a raunchy invitation and hitting the send button. I didn’t even have time to return to the main page of the app before he’d accepted my invite. And, from the ten minutes he gave as an ETA, he wasn’t wasting any time.
Even better.
Tossing the phone down on the floor by the door, I climbed back into the shower and flipped the cold water back on, killing two birds as I scrubbed up for my guest and tried again to bring my temperature down.
By the time the buzzer by the front door alerted me to a guest in the lobby, I was clean, dry, and ready for action.
After buzzing my visitor in, I dashed back to toss a stack of clean towels onto the floor by the bed – wouldn’t want to ruin the silk comforter – and was back at the apartment door as a firm knock echoed through the room.
Pulling the door open, I nearly swallowed my tongue at the sight before me. The man I’d seen in the tiny fingernail image on my phone had been handsome and clean-cut, like you’d see on a business card for your friendly, neighborhood insurance agent.
What was standing over me in the doorway was a sex beast. Large, bulging muscles straining against a skin-tight white t-shirt that was tucked into the trim waist of dark blue jeans that dropped to the top of scuffed, well-worn but clean brown leather ropers.
When my eyes finally finished traveling up his broad chest to his face, his unique amber-colored eyes were sparkling with amusement.
“Like what you see?” he rumbled, his plump lips stretching in a grin. He ran his eyes down my body, not bothering to hide his appreciation, and his grin widened. “Can’t say as I’m disappointed, myself.” He cocked his head. “That is, assuming that you’re Jay?”
“What? Oh, yeah,” I stuttered. “I am.” I stepped back. “Please come in.” I closed and locked the door before leaning back against it. “And, yeah, I definitely like what I see.”
“Good,” the deep voice almost purred. “Name’s Kade.” He held his hand out, wrapping his strong fingers around mine when I took it. “Nice to meet you.”
I nodded, forcing myself to exhale slowly as my hormones kicked up another notch. “How about we get this party started?”
Kade laughed. “Not wasting any time, are you?” He stepped closer to me, using his grip on my hand to pull me against his body. He bent down to run his nose along the line of my neck and stopped to whisper in my ear. “Mmm. You sure smell ready. Why don’t you show me to your bed?”
The warm rush of his breath against my skin made me shiver. “Yes, sir. This way.”
“Sir, huh?” Kade murmured as I led him down the hall. “Is my new friend into a little role play or just a good little Omega?”
The slight stab of annoyance at that question wasn’t enough to make me boot the hot Alpha to the curb. Cutting my nose off to spite my face and all, so I ignored the question.
“Comeon,” I huffed instead. “Need younow!”
I dragged my t-shirt over my head, and, since the cotton had stuck to my still wet skin when I had rushed to get dressed, bent down to pull my jeans off. I straightened up and turned back around to start working on Kade’s clothing, but he was already lying naked in the center of the bed, one hand stroking an extremely impressive erection. His clothes were all neatly folded on the floor at the foot of the bed and the comforter I’d been worried about protecting was, well, gone.
“What’s taking you so long?” Kade teased, winking at me as his fingers ran down his thick cock.
“Umph,” I croaked as I stared at him, mentally crossing my fingers that this fuck was going to be as good as he looked.
Kade crooked a finger at me and I trotted the last couple of feet to the bed, crawling up beside him like the good little Omega he’d suggested I was. Frustrating as it is, sometimes nature and nurture just gang up on you.
Kade
“Where are you off to now?” Rafael Borrero, a long-time friend, and Alpha of the local Blood Valley wolf shifter pack asked, tossing back the rest of his beer and signaling our waiter to bring another round.
As a freelance bounty hunter and part-time private investigator, I’d worked with Rafe and the Council of Packs, Security division off and on for several years. We’d just finished an investigation and decided to grab a few beers before I headed back out on my own.
“Not sure, yet,” I admitted, taking a drag from the fresh mug that the waiter handed me. “I’ve got a couple of offers, but nothing that’s really floating my boat.” I took another swallow of cold perfection. “I might take a little time off.”
Rafe raised a brow. “You shitting me?”
I shook my head. “Naw. Haven’t taken a vacation in years. I was thinking about heading somewhere warm. West coast, maybe.”
Winter in Pennsylvania was cold as balls and, so far, the spring hadn’t done anything but add a shit ton of mud to the equation.
