“Okay,” he said agreeably, releasing me. “You don’t have to yell.”

If I hadn’t been on a mission, I would have glared poison darts at him.

Once my mission was complete, I returned to the bed and sat on the edge. “Fuck you.”

Kade’s brow twitched up, but he just shrugged. “Not really sure you’re in any condition to top right now,” he said through a yawn. “Later, though, definitely.”

“That wasn’t a proposition,” I huffed, but Kade just smirked.

“Wasn’t it, though?”

I couldn’t hold back my laugh. “You are a serious dork.”

“True,” Kade agreed, glancing at the alarm clock. “You ready to get up? It's definitely time to feed you again.”

“Again?” I turned to stare at him. “All I’ve done is eat and sleep for the last thirty-six hours.”

Kade nodded. “And?”

The annoyance drained out of me as I realized I really didn’t have a response to that. “Fine, Alpha. Your wish is my command.”

Kade smirked and reached over to rub my back. “That’s better,” he teased. “If you’re a good little Omega, maybe I’ll find something else to keep you busy after we eat.”

True to his word, after we devoured the elk steaks, he ran a nice, hot bath.

“I’m not dirty again,” I snickered. “All I’ve done is sleep and eat since the last time you washed me.”

“I know,” Kade agreed with a sweet smile. “This is a relaxation bath,” he explained. “I found some lavender bath salts left behind by some past guests and figured we might as well make good use of them.” He quickly stripped me of the t-shirt I was wearing and took my elbow, helping me step down into the soaking tub. “I’ll be right back.”

Sure enough, I’d barely had time to close my eyes when I heard his bare feet pattering back down the hall, followed by a thud as the toilet lid was dropped.

“What are you doing?” I grumbled, prying my eyes open.

“I thought you might like something to watch,” Kade suggested, tapping keys on the tablet computer he’d propped up on the toilet lid. “I, ah, only have action movies downloaded, though.”

Kade was seriously the sweetest Alpha freaking ever.

He reeled off the list of available shows and I settled onYou Only Live Twice.

“Good choice,” Kade teased. “Now, I’m going to whip up something hot to drink while you relax.”

When Kade hadn’t returned by the time that the water had started to cool, I wrapped up in a thick towel and went in search of my promised drink. It was sitting on the kitchen table, next to a stack of shipping boxes that hadn’t been there earlier.

Kade was cutting them open, one by one, and comparing the contents to the packing list.

“Oh, hey,” he greeted, looking up in surprise. “Done already?”

I laughed. “Thirsty, anyway,” I teased, pointing at the mug. “Is that mine?”

“Oh, hell,” Kade groaned. “The UPS guy came through and I got distracted.” He lifted the mug and took a sip. “Yeah, gonna wanna reheat that,” he said with a grimace, rising to pop it into the microwave. “While we’re waiting, maybe you can help me with this stuff?”

“Sure,” I agreed readily, anchoring my towel more tightly around my waist. “What are you doing?”

“Just did a little online shopping,” Kade responded, a twinkle in his eye as he pulled a tall white bottle with an ornate label from the box in front of him and passed it to me.

“Slick Me Sexy Massage Oil?” I read out loud, holding in a laugh. “You thinking about changing careers?”

Kade just murmured a noncommittal noise and pulled a stack of fabric free.
