“Come here,” Lamar demanded, his voice low.
Aeren’s eyes widened as they darted up to Lamar’s face. Scrambling to obey, he stepped out of one of the shoes he’d just pulled on and stumbled over it. Flailing his arms in an attempt to recover his balance, he was startled when strong arms scooped him up, pulling him close to Lamar’s warm body before lowering him to his feet.
“That’s better,” Lamar murmured in his ear as the smaller man melted against him with a sigh. Lifting Aeren’s chin with his index finger, Lamar lowered his mouth, claiming Aeren’s lips in a rough, demanding kiss that stole his breath. “Damn, that mouth is sweet. I was so looking forward to seeing you when I got home.”
Chest heaving, Aeren stared up into Lamar’s face. “I..I’m sorry,” Aeren whispered, biting his bottom lip as his brow creased. “You didn’t tell me..”
“Hey, none of that,” Lamar chided gently, raising his fingers to rub the wrinkles from Aeren’s forehead. “I’m not mad at you, baby. I just missed you.” Which was crazy considering they’d just met, Lamar knew. He just didn’t care. After one more soul-searing kiss, he gently pushed Aeren back to sit on the bed, this time kneeling before him to slip his foot into the missing shoe. “Can you stay with me tonight?”
Aeren nodded, his breath catching in his chest. “Yes, sir.”
“Baby, you don’t have to call me sir,” Lamar reminded him again.
This time, Aeren’s bashful smile had a naughty tinge as he responded, “I know, but you like it when I do.” He let his eyes travel down to rest on the obvious bulge in Lamar’s jeans as he stood and reached for his coat. “I can tell.”
Lamar gave a startled laugh at Aeren’s unusually forward flirting and reached for his hand. “Boy, you are gonna be trouble.”
A full peal of laughter rang out down the hall as Aeren replied with a smug, “Yes, sir.”
