They watched in silence as the person continued to pace, occasionally stepping out of the video and then back in. Just before midnight, he stopped pacing and turned suddenly to face the camera, seemingly greeting the victim who was walking toward him.

"Fuck." Lamar's jaw dropped. He hit the pause button and stared at the screen. "That's not fucking possible."

"Shouldn't be," Genov agreed as Aeren's face stared at them from the screen. "Unless maybe the time stamp on theAfter Ninecameras is off?"

Lamar didn't respond, instead restarting the video and watching the scene unfold before them in grim silence.

The two men on the screen appeared to speak briefly before Paul Parker unfastened his slacks and leaned against the wall, Aeren dropping to his knees and leaning forward eagerly to take Parker's flaccid dick in his mouth.

When the victim collapsed to the ground, Lamar's jaw clenched so hard that Genov winced and wondered if he’d broken a tooth. Lamar reached for the keyboard to rewind the footage, but before he pressed the button, the killer leaped up and grabbed onto the brick building, scaling it effortlessly and disappearing onto the roof.

"What the holy hell?" Genov gasped. "Play that again."

Lamar rewound the footage and played it again, hitting pause as the killer clung to the side of the building. "I don't know what the fuck we're watching, but he's obviously not human."

“Damned if it doesn’t explain those claw marks, though,” Genov said, shaking his head in agreement. He leaned forward and tapped the screen. "Bet if we overlay the picture over this, they’d line up perfectly.” He turned to Lamar and smirked. “I think we better have another run at that so-called psychic healer of yours."

"He's not mine," Lamar denied automatically. "And the club is closed today and tomorrow. Besides, before we head back to the club, I think I want to talk to the victim's wife."

Genov raised a brow.

Lamar pulled the case file out from under the laptop and shoved it toward Genov. "Where's the missing person report?"

"Ah." Genov nodded. "None filed?"

"Exactly," Lamar confirmed, his brow wrinkled. "If even his sex club knows he’s married, why the fuck hasn't his wife reported him missing?"

Genov stood and reached for his jacket. "Let's go find out."
