Chapter Thirty-Two

Colt

“What the fuck, Christof?” I snapped as Sky all but ran from the table.

“Excuse me?” The fact that Drey sounded amused just pissed me off more.

“You know exactly what I’m talking about, asshole!”

Drey rolled his eyes. “So, in addition to barely providing enough information to qualify his consent before you changed him, now you think it’s okay to talk him into vetting into the Coruscation pack without telling him he has other choices?” Drey shook his head. “What the hell has gotten into you, Colt?”

Well, shit.

When he put it like that, he might have a valid point.

Fuck.

I huffed and shook my head. “Honestly? I don’t know.”

Drey cocked his head. “Have you figured out what to do about Chloe yet?”

Finally, a question I knew the answer to.

“Yeah. After I wipe the ring with that jerkwad, I’ll sponsor her application for pack membership. Once its approved, we can refile the dissolution papers, like you suggested.”

“Then?”

“Then what?” I asked. “You mean, what am I going to do about Sky?”

Drey nodded.

“I’m claiming him.”

Drey raised a brow. “You seem pretty confident he’ll have you.”

I bit back a snarl. “You have some reason to think he won’t?”

Drey laughed. “You’ve got it bad.”

I flipped him the bird. “You just here to fuck with my relationship and bust my balls?”

Drey laughed again, but shook his head. “Not just, no.” He pulled a sealed envelope from his file and passed it to me.

“Bout confirmation?” I guessed, taking it.

“Should be,” Drey confirmed.

He waited silently while I read it. “And?”

“Challenge bout is scheduled for a week from yesterday,” I said with a smirk.

“Does this idiot know you’re a were?” Drey asked. “If so, it seems rather suicidal to challenge you.”

I shrugged. “He had the option to request limitations on the scope of the fight and chose not to.”

The week after the bout confirmation passed ridiculously slowly, but I was attributing that to my frustration with the entire situation with my Omega.
