Chapter Nineteen

Sky

I was sitting on the steps that led to the front door when Colt shoved the door open. The corner caught my hip, making me yelp.

"Oh, shit!" Colt lifted me to my feet, running his hand over my body looking for injuries. "I'm so sorry, Sky. Where are you hurt?"

I leaned against his chest, shamelessly enjoying his hands stroking my body. "Why don't you keep checking, Alpha?"

Colt laughed in spite of the irritation that was emanating from him. "You're insatiable, you know that?"

"Me?" I feigned outrage. "Well, I just never!" I dramatically mimed fanning myself.

Colt's laugh deepened and his wandering hands stopped on my back, holding me close. "You're okay?"

"I'm fine," I assured him, hugging him back. "Take a walk with me?"

Looking torn, Colt glanced over to the main building. "I'm a little short on time, to be honest."

"We'll make it a quick walk," I compromised, already leading him into the shadows at the edge of the woods. Once I was relatively sure that we were alone, I shoved him against a tree and went to work on the button fastening his jeans.

"Oh, Sky," he groaned my name as I pulled him free and dropped to my knees, sucking his soft dick into my mouth at the same time. His flesh hardened and lengthened in my mouth as he muttered dirty words of encouragement. I worked him mercilessly, pulling out every trick I knew. When he wove his fingers into my hair and started thrusting, I smiled around his cock and drew down, more than willing to allow him to fuck his way to completion in my mouth.

I worked one finger into my mouth alongside him long enough to get it wet and slid it between his cheeks, finding his prostate on my first try. When I pressed on it, his hips stuttered and he gagged me with his cock, driving it so far down my throat that I couldn't breathe as I swallowed the waves of bitter cum he was unloading in me.

When he finally pulled away, my throat was burning, cum was dripping from my mouth, and tears were oozing from my eyes – I was a mess.

"Jesus fuck," Colt gasped, staring down at me in amazement, his eyes soft. "God, you're beautiful, Sky." He drew me up to my feet and lowered his lips to mine, humming against my lips when he tasted himself in my mouth. "Thank you."

I smiled against his mouth. "Feel better?"

"You know I do." Colt hugged me tighter, slipping one hand over my ass. "Now we need to take care of you."

I laughed and guided his hand around to where my limp dick was hanging lifelessly out of my fly. "I came when you did, Alpha."

Colt tucked me reverently back inside my jeans and zipped me up before righting his own clothes. Slipping his hand into mine, he led me back toward the tiny village. "I really do have to go meet with Clint, but I promise I'll be back in a few minutes, okay?"

I smiled and squeezed his hand before veering up the steps to his bungalow, stopping by the door to enjoy the view of his backside as he continued on to the main building.

As he'd promised, Colt had popped in after meeting with his brother, but it was really just long enough to deliver a couple plates of food that Trevor had prepared for Chloe and me and to explain that he had to go to Blood Valley and meet with Rafe and his Omega.

The sun was rising in the east when I finally crawled into bed for the day. It was funny how changing from a human into a werewolf had also changed me from a day dweller to a night dweller.

I was snuggled deep in Colt's bed with the blankets pulled up over my head when I heard the bedroom door slowly creak open.

I started to call out, but an unfamiliar smell filled the room. I wasn't sure what it was, but it definitely wasn't my lover. Very carefully pulling in a breath, I quickly confirmed that it also wasn't Chloe. In fact, the one thing I was confident of was that it wasn't anyone I knew.

I stayed where I was, counting on the thick covers to hide me from the intruder as they moved through the room. When I heard the footsteps begin to retreat, I eased out from under the covers and glanced out the window, pondering the most effective way to alert the sentries that Colt had assured me watched over the grounds.

When I heard a choked scream from the room next door where Chloe slept, anger flooded through me. Then came the dull thud of flesh striking flesh and I saw red. Pain that I didn't understand ripped through my body, releasing a flood of aggression like I'd never felt before.

My instinctive need to stay hidden fled, replaced by the drive to defend and I stormed through the hall, slammed the door open, and reached for the startled humanoid staring at me in shocked silence.

"What the hell?" he gasped as I grabbed him by the back of the neck, flinging him across the room where he crashed into the closet door and crumpled to the ground.

I threw my head back, releasing a cry that was both alien to my throat and soothing to my soul at the same time. I backed away from Chloe, my breathing ragged. When a crashing noise came from the front room, I whirled to face the doorway, prepared to make a stand, but a familiar face appeared.
