"Levi. We need to go and get him." Rafe saw the confusion on my face and groaned. "Right. You have no fucking clue what I'm talking about, do you?"

"None," I confirmed.

"Okay," Rafe sighed and waved for the waitress to bring him a cup of coffee. "You're gonna need to keep a grip on your wolf." He waited for me to nod again. "You know Trevor called Levi and asked him to bring that tea he's always drinking to the inn while you were there, right?"

I nodded.

"Levi caught a ride out to Hidden Dale with the team that I sent to Blue Ridge. They weren't comfortable letting him head back home alone, so they took him along for the ride." Rafe’s mouth twisted in irritation. "The Blue Ridge Alpha is refusing to let him leave. Told Whiner that he plans on claiming Levi."

"Fuck." Once I knew the destination, I understood why Rafe had specified he wanted me to take the bike.

Blue Ridge was about four hours away over the mountain pass; a road that would have been too narrow for my truck to traverse. The trip would have nearly doubled if we had to take the long way. There was no telling how much damage could be done to Levi in that time.

Rafe nodded. "Yep. My boys haven't been able to talk their way free of it, so it's up to us."

Rafe downed half the contents of his coffee cup in a single swallow. "What do you know about the Blue Ridge Alpha?"

I blew out a heavy exhalation. "Enough to know that we don't want to leave a sweet little thing like Levi in his clutches," I said sharply. "The whip lashes on Trevor's back took weeks to heal. This is not a good situation."

Rafe's jaw set, his expression grim. "We better hit the road."

I was barely out the door when a familiar scent caught my nose. I swung around, searching for its owner.

"Clint? What's wrong?" Rafe looked perplexed.

"Trevor's here."

"Are you sure?" Rafe looked around in confusion. "I don't see him, man."

I shook my head. "Use your nose. I can smell him." I started down the sidewalk. "He didn't have plans to come to town. I need to check on him."

By the time I'd keyed in on Trevor's scent, I was waiting impatiently outside Doc's office in the center of town. When the door finally swung open, it took all of my self-control to greet my Omega calmly.

"Hey."

Trevor's eyes shot up from the ground in alarm before his body relaxed and he gave me a bright smile.

"Clint? Hi." He stretched up to kiss my lips and then glanced at Rafe who was leaning against the wall beside me, eyes closed, before looking back to me, his expression soft. "I thought you left town?"

"Not yet." I watched the Beta from the security team walk to a respectable distance before losing control of my tongue. "Why are you in town? You know it isn't safe for you to be unprotected." I shot a worried look at the Beta. "One guard isn't going to be able to take care of you!" I fought the urge to drop my head at my outburst. Trevor had never responded well to being bullied.

To my surprise, Trevor seemed pleased at my blow-up instead of annoyed.

"I'm sorry, Alpha. I wasn't thinking." Trevor apologized sweetly. As it always had, his beguiling smile drew me in. He took a step closer and laid a hand on my chest. I swore I felt a tingle through the fabric when he touched me. "Doc called and asked me to come in so he could draw more blood." Before I could answer, Trevor stepped even closer, pressing his warm body to mine and reached up to thread his fingers in my hair. He playfully tugged my head down to his neck and tilted his head back, exposing the smooth line of his throat. My mouth began to caress his tender skin and I nibbled on him gently, almost forgetting where we were.

"Mmm, like that," Trevor murmured, tilting his head to bare the other side of his neck.

"Ahem," Rafe's eyes were still closed as he cleared his throat. "Maybe you two should get a room."

"Shit. Sorry, man. We got carried away." Clint glanced over at Rafe who snorted. "I'm gonna need time to run him home before we leave."

"Why not bring him with?"

Clint and I both stared at him and he shrugged. "We're going to his old pack lands. Might do him good to visit."
