“Fine.” I grabbed Rowan’s hand and turned to Greyson. “If she needs anything, let me know and I will get it for you.”

He nodded. “Actually…”

I jumped at the chance. “What?”

He looked down. “Can you ask if I can be excused from duty? I want to stay with her.” He looked down. “I don’t want to shirk my duties, but my mate needs me.”

Rowan patted his shoulder. “You don’t even have to ask. We will get it straightened out, but you watch over your mate.” Greyson nodded and turned back to the door.

We walked back to my room, and unlike this morning’s shower, it was straightforward. “Jump in first. That way, when I’m showering, you can dry your hair.” Rowan kissed my temple as he heated the water.

“Keep talking like that, and I might just mate you for life.” I smirked as I slapped his butt, earning a chuckle.

“Promise?” He smirked as he pulled back. “Jump in. I want to know your father’s plan.”

My stomach growled. “And I’m apparently hungry.” I chuckled as I stripped down and stepped under the water. Instantly, thewater turned dark. I used a couple of rounds of soap until the water was completely clean. “How did I get so dirty?”

Rowan chuckled. “You carried Cass the entire way…She bled all over you.”

“Oh.” I stepped out, and he handed me a towel. “Thank you.”

He smiled and kissed me. “Dry your hair. Then we can go.”

“Pushy.” I winked as I walked over to the sink and pulled out my hair dryer. “You are lucky you are so cute.”

He laughed as I dried my hair. He finished his shower quickly. I was about eighty percent done, and just threw my hair up into a bun. “I don’t know why that is so sexy…but it is.” I laughed as I grabbed his hands and pulled him to my closet.

“I don’t know if I have any clothes that will fit you, but-” I opened my closet, and I quickly realized that my clothes were pushed over, and a new section of men’s clothes was on one side. “Interesting.” I turned and lifted a brow.

He smiled and blushed. “So I, uh, might have told an Omega to move some of my clothes in here.”

“Did you now?” I tilted my head.

“Yeah…” He looked away and I reached up and kissed his cheek.

“You are adorable.” I grabbed some clothes and turned back to him.

He grabbed my hand. “I don’t want you to think that I am pushing my way in, I just…” He sighed. “Now that I have you, I don’t want to be away from you.” He looked down, and I could tell he was worried I was going to reject him.

I cupped his face. “I never want to be without you ever again.” His head snapped up.

“Really?”

I snorted. “Yes.” I patted his cheek. “Get dressed.” My stomach growled. “I’m hungry.”

He chuckled and pulled on some clothes. “Yes, ma’am.” He got dressed and then we left. We walked hand in hand to my father’s office. I expected to see all the Alpha’s waiting, but it was only Ronnie and my father waiting for us.

There were four plates on his desk with the chairs pulled up around it. “Come in.” My father’s voice called out as we reached the door. “We have a lot to talk about.”

A few days later I walked through the halls of the Oakenfang pack house, and I smirked behind my mask. This was as gaudy as I thought it was going to be. The colors were white and cream. Who picks those two for mating colors? I snorted as Meg, Shannon’s best friend, came running out of a room in tears.

“I fucking hate her.” She screamed as she ran away.

“She seems like a real peach.” A dark whisper came from behind the curtain I was by.

“You aren’t supposed to be near me.” I leaned against the wall by the window.

“I know, but how could I not be?” His voice was soft. I heard the window open. “But someone is coming. I love you.” Then he was gone.
