“What the fuck are you doing in my kitchen? In my house anyway?” Molly near enough shouts.
“Well, Jamie gave me a key to have for emergencies. Trouble is, I haven’t seen you in a few days since you left the clubhouse, and you’ve not sent me a message or contacted me. So here I am, making sure you are okay.” Now, I’m doing my best to make it sound like I’m doing her a huge favor, which I’m not. I’m making sure that she is on her own and doesn’t have Griller here sniffing around.
“I would appreciate if you did like all visitors, and knocked on the door. Not just let yourself in like you live here.” Molly snips as she plates up the pasta thing she’s made.
“Well, I’m thinking I may not be a visitor.”
“What do you mean?” Molly stops right before she sits at the table in front of me.
“I may move in and live here with you. It would be better than the clubhouse. Less noisy, good food…” Which I say as I take her fork and a mouthful of the pasta. “Yeah, it sounds like a good idea, and it’d be security here while we look for that skank of a stepsister.”
Molly is sitting looking at me dumbfounded for a moment or two, but once the information hits her properly, she launches into a tirade of curses.
“That’s not very ladylike is it, Molly?”
“You asshole, you total and utter asshole.”
I stand from my seat, step around the table and jerk Molly onto her feet. She bumps into my chest, and as she looks up at me to continue the tirade, I slam my mouth down on hers.
The kiss isn’t hurried, but I make it deliberate, and it holds an unspoken language. Everything around us blurs, and I don’t care where we were or could have been. The result would have been the same. Even the smell of the pasta disappears, to be replaced with the sweet lavender smell that is all Molly.
To my surprise Molly responds and wraps her arms around my neck, pulling me close, showing she isn’t as upset with me as she’d tried to show.
The kiss deepens, but it’s not frantic. It’s a slow dance of tongues, each breath we take together, and I’m sure our hearts are beating at the same rate. It’s a perfect moment in time, and one I’ll never forget even if we don’t end up together.
Pulling back, I stare into Molly’s eyes, which are bright, but glossed over. She has pink cheeks, which nearly match her lips. She has a small pucker on her lips, which makes her look cute as fuck.
Gently stepping away, I slap Molly’s ass, which brings her out of the haze, and wink. “I’ll see you later, babe.”
I make my escape quickly, grabbing my helmet as I open the front door. “Lock the door, babe,” I shout as I close it, and quickly scan the area. Seeing nothing to worry about, I walk over to my hog, smirking all the while. Yeah, this is gonna be fun!
CHAPTER 17
*~* Molly *~*
“Men!!” I mumble under my breath. “They are more trouble than they are worth.” Looking up from my desk as Jamie walks in and takes a seat.
“Who is more trouble then they are worth?”
“Men…” I fill Jamie in on Breaker’s behavior and the kiss. I even spilled the fact that I’d liked it, which shocked me into realizing just that.
Jamie laughed while having a twinkle in her eye. I’m telling you that isn’t going to be forgotten, and payback can be a bitch. Now, I frown at her, letting her know that I’m not amused.
“Aw, come on, Molly. You like him. He’s a good one, and although rough around the edges he is a good man, and wouldmake a good old man if you were ready to settle down.” Jamie picks up the bag she had brought into the office with her and takes out a bottle of water.
“So, what can I do for you?” I ask, changing the subject swiftly.
“I see what you are doing.”
Now, I look at her with a squint because this conversation needs to stop. “What do you think I’m doing?”
“You were changing the subject because you don’t want to talk about Breaker.”
“No, I don’t, and that would be how you'd feel if I brought up Fury isn’t it?” Now, I’m the one giving her a questioning look.
Spluttering over the water she’s just swallowed, she looks up at me wide-eyed. “What?”
“Never mind what, Jamie. You and Fury have been up to no good for quite some time from what I hear. So, come on spill the story if we are going to be sharing some fragile feelings.” I can’t help but give her a satisfied grin as she blushes, grabs her bag and heads out the door. “Yeah, that’s what I thought!” I giggle as I see her back disappearing. I shout after her although she’s not going to reply, “WHAT ABOUT GIVING A KEY AWAY TOO!” Yep, no response…I didn’t think there would be.
