Andy and Thorn are sitting at a table, and Andy beckons me over. “Hi, Molly. Are you okay? You are a little red in the face.” Andy asks as I take a seat.
“Yeah, it’s just hot in the kitchen. I’ve been making cookies and have the oven on ready for me to put the meat in for supper.”
“Supper?” Thorn questions.
I grin. “Yeah, I’m going to call it supper from now on, and if anyone doesn’t like that, I’ll refuse to feed them.” I giggle when they both look at me shocked right before checking who is close enough to us to hear what I said.
Thorn sighs, “You are braver than me, Molly. You are not scared of pissing these bikers off.”
“I don’t care anymore, Thorn. I’ve had more than enough trouble in my life, and you know if I die tomorrow then it’s done. I’m not worried at all about what might happen. I’m going to live as I want to, instead of worrying about everyone else.” I lean forward and study the drawing in front of me. “Is this the barbershop?”
“Yes. We are trying to plan out how we want it to be. But make sure we get some cash back on the place. You know the MC is helping us with this, and we want to be able to give them a good profit eventually on the business. But first we have to earn enough to pay for the purchase of the place and then all the equipment that is needed. Oh, and the renovation of the building.” Andy points to the drawing and explains everything on it.
We discuss the plan for forty minutes, and after pointing out that they need things where they will be most easily at hand, the plan is changed a few times. But it seems now they can have three rented chairs instead of two.
“You know the shop next door is up for sale. You could get that and knock through and have that side as a female hair salon? But only rent chairs, so the stylists work for themselves but rent from you. That keeps it all yours, and you will keep control of the place.” I don’t wait for them to say anything. I just leave them with that thought.
Time to get the meat in the oven, and all the side dishes prepared. I hope nobody has touched the cookies because if they have there will be hell to pay.
CHAPTER 14
*~* Breaker *~*
Whack calls all officers to church for a special meeting. I’m sure it’s to do with Para of the Cobra’s since we just sent him pieces of his men. The seven officers not including Whack, of course, take a seat and wait for the meeting to start.
“Okay, I’ve called this meeting because Para has been in touch. He wants a meeting with me, but I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not. It’s time this war ended, and I’m more than happy to take out the whole Cobra MC if needed.”
“What did he say, Pres?” Griller asks.
Whack rubs the back of his neck, but smirks. “He wasn’t happy that Fink was sent back in six pieces or that he had parts of his other men. He was rather irate.”
I can’t help but chuckle and look at Cannon who is rubbing his hand over his mouth to stop his laughter from showing.
“Well, he wants a meet to stop the war between our clubs. I think it’s a trap, so it’s a case of do we set a trap for a trap, or say fuck you we are not interested?” Whack looks from one of us to the other.
“I think we should sit quietly for now, watch, listen, and learn. They will make mistakes, and we pick them off one at a time as they make those mistakes. If we always travel in twos or more, then we’ll always have someone at our backs.” I look around and all but Whack are nodding their heads in agreement.
“We could invite the fucker onto our territory, our out-of-town place where nothing will be seen or heard. We could take him out and anyone with him,” Bank suggests.
“Yeah, I like that idea,” Pens adds to the conversation. “You know he’d probably bring a lot of men with him.”
Bull chuckles, “Well, I’d know how many before he reaches the property ‘cause I’ve hidden cameras all over that place.”
Saddle taps his knuckles on the table. “I could go out there and take Bri, make out we’re on vacation. She’s good with the rifle I gave her so she’d not be useless.”
“Don’t let her hear you say that, Saddle. Fuck’s sake, man, do you want to be on her shit list for the rest of your life?” I laugh and shake my head at the thought.
Bank gives Saddle a filthy look, full of disgust. “Keep your thoughts in your head. Man, if you fuck off Bri, then Marcia would be pissed off too.”
We all know Bri and Marcia are close, and as they are the only two old ladies in the club, we all are careful when around them. But, Saddle and Bank watch each other in case they piss off their women. If one is upset, the other seems to catch that vibe.
“That’s not a bad idea, but we’d have to have a good plan in place.” Whack looks to us all for our acceptance of the idea. Once we’ve all given him a slight nod, or lifted a hand to show we are in on the idea he nods.
That’s when the discussion starts about how to execute a safe plan, especially for Bri, and when to invite Para. We are in church for four hours, but we have a general plan in place, and we will think on it for a few days before coming back with any tweaks we feel are needed.
“Okay, let’s move out and get something done. Breaker, Jamie has been in touch and wants me to release Molly from the clubhouse because she’s going to be the practice manager. She needs her living at the house next to the practice. I told her I’d speak to you, but as far as I see it the kitchen duty can be called done. She’s not caused us any problems. No sign of the fuckin’ sister either. So, our thoughts on using Molly to draw out the bitch could work if Molly is working for Jamie,” Whack is looking at me as he tells me all this.
“Okay, I’m good with that if we have a prospect or brother watching her 24/7. We can grab the bitch before she does any damage to the practice or Molly. I’ll speak to Jamie, too.” Whack gives me a sign to go ahead and then closes the meeting. We all know Officer’s meetings are not for general discussion in the club, and brothers know not to ask.
