“I can see the doubts playing in that pretty little head of yours, Holly. Please trust me when I say I will do whatever it takes tomake this work. I’ll do anything I have to. I just need you to believe in me.”

I look up and kiss him softly. “I do believe in you. In us.”

“I’m terrified of disappointing you.”

“Well, if you keep doing what you just did, I don’t know that I will be.”

Chuckling, he kisses the top of my nose. “Sex is the last thing I’m worried about with us. You’re the only woman who can keep up with me.”

“You might wear me out,” I admit, “but in the best ways.”

“You were right.”

I tilt my head and frown. “Not that I don’t like hearing you say that, but about what?”

“It feels different. Better. Being with someone I love is the best feeling ever. I’ve never wanted to just hold someone afterwards. Sex was all about pleasure, and once we both achieved it, I wanted to be alone again. But I don’t want to be alone. Not with you as mine.”

“You’re not fighting the urge to kick me out right now?” I joke.

He chuckles, but his smile immediately drops. “Move into my new apartment with me.”

Woah. “What?”

“Your brother wants this place for him and his girlfriend. They already allow dogs, and I plan to spend every night with you as it is. There’s no reason to pay rent twice.”

Leaning up on my elbow, I stare with wide eyes. “Decker, that’s kind of a big step.”

“For you or me?”

“Both of us. But mostly you,” I say, trying to lighten the mood.

He cups my face and pulls me down to kiss him. “I want this. You and me. And Rhys. Every night, I want you in my bed. I want to hear you scream my name, and then I want to fall asleep with you in my arms. Then wake up and do it all over again.”

“You’re sure?”

“As sure as I want to be inside you again,” he says, poking me with his erection.

He’s right. I have to find a new place with Will coming home. And I will spend any night Decker wants me to with him. You don’t voluntarily give up something this good to sleep alone.

It might be rushing it, but screw it. “Okay.”

“To moving in with me or letting me inside you again?”

“Yes,” I say with a giggle when he rolls me onto my back and hovers over me. “Oh, yes!”

Epilogue

“Will!” I jump out of the booth and throw my arms around my big brother.

“Hi, Holly,” Will says, lifting me off the ground and giving me a little swing. “Holly, this is my girlfriend, Melinda.”

The petite, gorgeous blonde offers her hand. “It’s nice to finally meet you, Holly,” she says, her Australian accent lilting. “Will has told me so much about you.”

“I love your accent,” I say warmly. “Oh—Melinda, this is Decker.”

Decker slides out of the booth, shakes her hand, then hugs Will. “Good to see you, man.”

We settle around the table, and Decker’s hand finds mine under the table. He’s nervous. Almost as nervous as the night he waited to find out if I chose him or Ken.
