I gently kiss his lips, but the magic spell has broken. “I got one in the bar, remember?”
“Are you okay?”
Forcing a smile, I nod. “I’m fine.”
“You’re freaked out now.”
“No, I just… I need to think. I’m going to walk home.”
He takes my hand. “Are you sure?”
“I’m sure.”
“I can walk you.”
“It’s only three blocks. I’ll be fine. See you at work?”
The words form a pit in my stomach, and the panic starts to set in. I need to get out of here.
“See you—”
The door shuts as I hurry away, realizing my panties are still in his car, but I don’t care. I need space. I need to think.
And I need to stop dating on this damn app.

Awkward
The entire next week is nothing short of awkward as Tyler goes out of his way to avoid me. At one point, we both walked into the breakroom from different doors, and he turned on his heel and walked right back out.
“What’s with him?” Mona asks, pointing at Tyler.
“It’s complicated.”
“Don’t tell me you found him on your app!”
I shake my head. “No way. I’ve told him enough for him to know how crazy it is.”
“But you know why he’s been jumping around like he has ants in his pants every time he’s seen you this week?”
Inhis pants. I know exactly what he has in his pants, and my cheeks burn. “Yeah.”
“What is it?”
“Later,” I say as people filter into the room for lunch.
The last thing I need is anyone overhearing that I’ve slept with my boss.
Mona grabs my arm and drags me into the conference room. “Now. What’s going on?”
Licking my lips, I glance around. At least no one can hear us. And I really need to tell someone. “Something may have… happened.”
“What kind of something? And with who?”
“Um…”
“You had sex with Tyler?” she whisper-shouts. “Are you serious?”
