“Yea, I know. You, him and Quan, a trio of clowns.”
“Wait, how the hell I get in it?”
“Because you laughing like that shit funny. Y’all always encouraging his clownish ass ways.”
“Girl, shut up and sit yo ass down.”
Kas grabbed onto Yanna’s arm and pulled her down onto his lap. Being stubborn, Yanna slid off his lap and sat on the couch next to him. His audacity was what pissed her off the most. As if he wasn’t just playing hot potatowith her phone to keep her from finding out about his indiscretions. By the time the clubs let out rolled around, Yanna’s irritation with Kas had heightened. She wobbled her way out the club, attempting to make it to Nisha’s car ahead of Kas, but she should’ve known he wasn’t having that.
“Slow down. How did you get here?”
“Why?” Yanna questioned with much attitude.
“Because I asked, that’s why. How you get here?”
“I drove.”
“How yo friend get here?”
“Rode with me.”
“Shaw, where you live at?” Kas questioned Nisha.
“In the south.”
“You need a ride or something?”
“Nope. I already saw how this was about to play out, and I ordered myself an Uber… and there it is. Bye Yanna, call me in the morning!” Nisha pranced through the parking lot to her waiting ride, disappearing before Yanna could offer a rebuttal.
“Quan, you’ll drive my car to the crib for me?” Kas questioned, tossing his cousin the keys to his vehicle.
“Yea, I got you. Kalil, pull up behind me so I can ride back to the crib with you.”
“Bet,” Kalil responded to Quan before heading toward his car while Quan made his way to Kas’ Trackhawk.
“Give me yo keys and get yo drunk ass in the car.”
Instead of verbally responding to Kas’ threat, Yanna gave him the middle finger. Kas was not beat for Yanna’s antics, so he walked up on her and reached his hand into her bag. He’d done it so swiftly Yanna didn’t have a chance to react.
“You’re so fucking irritating.”
“I know.” Kas smiled at Yanna, opening her door then rounding the Jeep to hop in the driver’s seat. Pulling out of the club, he jumped on 95 South heading for his Dinwiddie home.
Kas pulled into his circular driveway and killed the engine. Quan and Kalil did the same, both of them following their cousin’s suit. Kas lived at the end of three houses that sat on over ten acres of land. His mother’s house, the largest, was in the middle. His brother, Onyx’s house was the first of the trio, and even though he was the rich superstar, he built him and his brother’s homes the same size. Kas would always be grateful forhis big brother and thanked God every day for blessing him so abundantly.
Kas and Yanna climbed from her Jeep just as Quan and Kalil climbed from Kalil’s SUV.
“What the fuck was y’all doing in there? The Jeep kept swerving and shit.” Quan questioned.
“That was her crazy ass, kept shoving me and shit, trying to make me crash.”
Yanna shoved him again, propelling him forward. “Don’t call me crazy.”
“Keep yo’ baldhead hands off my cousin, Yanna.”
“Quan, don’t call her baldhead.”
“And fuck your cousin.” Yanna retorted, heading toward Troi and Onyx’s house.
