Gene muttered something under his breath that sounded like‘douchebags gotta always be staring at his man’, or something like that.
As they ate, Gene was curious.
“Too far?” he asked, knowing Ethan would know what he meant.
He shook his head.
“That was fun. Five months ago, that Ethan would have been freaked the fuck out. Now, he knows that he can lean into it, and just feel because his bear will make sure he’s safe.”

“What do you have?” he asked, knowing Greyson wouldn’t be calling for idle chitchat.

“Everything I said before about the mob is wrong. Gabe’s intel changed. We have mob information, but it’s going to have to wait. We have a bigger issue.”
