Oh, it was a good day to be him. While Ethan might like seeing a bear in a banana hammock, nothing truly was as spectacular as a tan Native in a whiteSpeedo.

Hot.

Freaking.

Damn.

“Tala,” Gene whispered, tucking thatSpeedointo his pocket for safekeeping. “When we get to the room, I need you so badly. I don’t think I can control myself. I hope you meant what you said about leaving Ethan at home, because I don’t want to miss a second with Tala.”

Ethan grinned.

And that was the point.

For one of the few moments in his life, he wasn’t worried about anything. He was free, and Gene was his partner in life.

So, he was honest.

“I want you to go wild. You won’t hurt me, Gene. I’m not breakable like that. We’re at a whole new level in our relationship.”

Oh, he was aware.

And he liked it there.

“I’m going to get rough,” he said. “We’re going to need a safe word. Normally, I trust myself not to need one, but today…with you, I’m going to definitely need one—more so for me, than you. You’ve pulled Daddy out, and he’s going to have his Tala.”

Ethan stared into his eyes.

“Mustang,” he offered, picking their safe word—giving him that. It was definitely more so for Gene than him, because he wanted his lover to lose it and do whatever he wanted to him.

It would be a cold day in Hell before he uttered any freaking safe word.

Bet.

On.

It.

Gene heard him, and nodded in acknowledgement. All he could hope was that Ethan didn’t get scared because he’d neverseen him go this hard, and what he had planned in his head would test the man.

In so many ways.

“And you’re okay with me…?” he began.

He stopped him.

“My love,” he whispered, staring into his eyes. “I’m good. We’re a couple. You don’t have to protect me all of the time. Let me be me. Let me explore this new world that is our relationship. I deserve the right to see what lives in all the corners and experience them.”

Damn.

He was right.

The last thing that he wanted to do was stifle Ethan’s ability to feel out this part of his life. Gene had years to play in these shadows.

Now, Ethan could too, and he would willingly walk beside him.

“You’re not going to use that safe word, are you?”

He laughed.
