Like literally.
“Go in the bathroom, away from me, and get yourself into it. You’ll look like you have an erection all day from the bump it’ll give you in your pants, but the opposite will be true.”
He took the device, and headed off to the bathroom, knowing that coming down was not going to be an easy task. He was holding a kinky little gadget, and desperately wanted to wear it.
For him.
For Gene.
When the bathroom door closed, Gene made some calls.
There was one person in particular that he wanted to speak to, and that was his friend.
When Greyson picked up, he was driving.
Gene could hear the car.
“Hey, it’s me.”
Greyson was just about to call him since he’d not heard anything from him since the body on the beach last night. In all honesty, it was a lot to mobilize, even if it was only one person.
“Hey! I’ll be there soon, and if anyone asks, Ethan touched down a while ago, and is already heading here. What a nice guy. He absolutely wants to work this case,” he said, joking around.
What?
He was confused.
Not about the Ethan part, but about the‘Greyson heading there’part.
The pause must have said it all since Greyson was compelled to explain.
“Yeah, you heard me. I’m outside the resort you’re staying in. I’ll be parking in a few minutes. Need a lift to the FBI building?”
Gene was surprised.
“Yes, but why are you here?”
He laughed.
“Well, the more the unmerrier. Gabe sent me. He said this office is a mess, and he wants me here. I suspect it’s because you and Blackhawk will be running amuck in Puerto Rico, and he trusts your asses about as far as he can chuck you. For my sake, use your best manners.”
Oh, well, no shock there.
Gene laughed.
“Oh, hell, no. I plan on using my worst manners, specifically on my sexy man. This is killing my vacation vibe, Greyson. So don’t get bitchy if we’re not giving it all we have and as hard as we normally go. We’re both burning out, and the purpose of this trip was to recharge. Now, we’re not getting that.”
Greyson completely understood what he was saying.
“You just do what you need to do. I trust both of you to micromanage your days, and get shit done. I understand the burnout part. Try to sneak in some vacation when you can. I won’t say shit to Gabe, and I’m here to back you up.”
Thank God for that.
Because seriously, neither man was going to be at the top of their game if they didn’t get some downtime from being Feds.
People who didn’t take time off burned out quicker, and no one wanted that.
As for Gabe not knowing…
