“I think you will be able to take me sooner than you realize. Your body is made for me.”
I can feel my face turning red at the audacity of his words, but beneath the blush I’m preening. Here I was worried about being a mewling, helpless mess, and he had absolutely loved it. I realize as he sets me down to turn on the hot water, though, that he pleased me—several times—while I’ve done nothing for him. His cock is bouncing obscenely against his hard abs as he bends over to grab a towel, so I reach for it with shaking hands. Not because I’m nervous, but because my body is still humming and I feel like a baby deer, wobbly all over.
Khur gently pushes my hand away, though, “No, my love. I don’t want to spill my seed again until it is deep inside you. It is a primal urge I can’t resist.”
How he knows exactly what to say to spark wildfires inside of me, I do not know, but I am ready to try and impale myself on that massive log just to take all that seed right now. Khur must see the look on my face because he smirks and grabs my wrists in one hand, holding them above my head.
“Hold still and let me wash you, human,” he says with mock grumpiness. “We will get to go to sleep together soon, in the meantime, let’s enjoy this.”
So I tilt my head back and let the warm water run down my body as he uses the wet towel like a washcloth and wipes my body down, gently dabbing at my delightfully sore pussy. Funny how just a few days ago I was shy about that.
A girl could definitely get used to this.

Khur
My original plan was to wait another five days before taking Destiny on another date, but luckily this one is not dependent on a schedule like the wind-riders or the Mercasian dancers, because I can’t resist asking her to go out with me the very next day. The way she beamed at me last night and kissed my fangs was all the answer I needed. Neither of us want to be apart for very long. When I mentioned it was in the Dhugaren biome, she was thrilled. Today, when I arrive to pick her up from the supply station, she is already donning the human-made winter gear she bought with her first credit deposit.
It’s ridiculously puffy, making her look almost as wide as she is tall, and hiding her face in a circle of silver fur when the hood is pulled up. I wave goodbye to Furga as I’m pulling Destiny out the door, eager to enjoy my favorite place with my favorite person. I’m giddy at the thought of enjoying the falling snow with my soon-to-be mate. I have it all planned out, taking into consideration all the human traditions I’ve learned from Josep and from Destiny herself.
Destiny wisely just smiles and jogs behind me until I realize she is puffing with exertion, so I reach down and scoop her into my arms, practically running the rest of the way to the biome. As we step through the automatic doors and the cold winter air hits our faces, Destiny squeals and shivers in my arms. I take a moment to make sure her hood is up and snug around her face and let her slip on the “mittens” she purchased as well. The entire suit is white with silver fur around the hood and wrists, and silver stitching accenting the lines of her body. It’s so puffy the lines are more illusion than anything else. I smile as I remember what Josep said about wearing white, though. It couldn’t have worked out better if I’d planned it.
“We have a bit of walking to do. Would you like me to carry you?” I ask her.
“No, put me down. I want to feel the snow crunch under my feet,” she replies with a smile.
We walk companionably for almost an hour, looping around the frozen lake and skirting wide to avoid the dangerous ridge where we first met. As we walk, Destiny tells me about her day and some of the citizens she helped at the supply station, stopping to point out especially pretty or interesting sights as we go. Even though I’ve been to this mountain several times since it opened, I look at it with fresh eyes when Destiny points out the beautiful rolling hills of snow and how the artificial sunlight creates rainbows along the ground, or when she stops to watch a Dhugaren child and a Silfan child bundled in winter gear building a snow-animal together.
Before too long, we’re at the base of the mountain and Destiny cranes her neck up at it.
“Wow. I didn’t realize just how big Ulvand is. Furga said it’s part of the actual mountain?”
“A lesser peak, but yes. We were able to salvage it and bring it with us as part of our cultural heritage. Much like the Silfans’ seed bank or Mojo’s boat,” I explain.
“You mean you planned an elaborate heist to get them to allow it?”
“No, I mean, I don’t think the Originem would have said no to him if he’d asked.” I had to laugh at my new friend’s story. His reputation grew with each telling, and I think he liked that more than anything, except perhaps the boat in question.
Gesturing towards a crevice in the mountain to our left, I guide Destiny towards the cave, never letting go of her hand.
“Oh my gosh, are we going into the mountain?”
“Ulvand is hollow. Let me show you.” Before she can ask anymore of her questions, I walk into the tunnel, ducking a bit to get past the low, rocky clearance. I realize suddenly that I’m leading her again, but this time I let the thought slide off me like water. I know this mountain, these tunnels, like the back of my newly declawed hands. I know this woman, this perfectly wonderful human woman will follow me anywhere, and we’ll face any challenges as a team. And best of all, I know we won’t run into enemy soldiers or landmines. Sanctuary Station is truly that, a sanctuary for us all, and finally, I can admit I feel its warm embrace.
Destiny oohs and awws at the glowing crystals inlaid on the rocky walls of the tunnels, marveling at our engineering skills. It makes me swell with pride to know I did something that brings forth such awe from her, even if I also know that everything makes her feel this way. Her joy is given out so freely, it’s intoxicating, and I take thetime to really appreciate the hard work and dedication that went into making Little Ulvand what it is now. It may not be the marvel it was replicated from, but Great Ulvand is lost to us now, and this is just as good, maybe even better, because it will never see the bloodshed its predecessor did. It will never be littered with the corpses of soldiers who fought and died for the honor of claiming something that should never be claimed, but instead now will be enjoyed and loved by all.
As we go deeper into the heart of the mountain, the tunnel becomes wider and taller. I know that this and all the tunnels in the mountain eventually deposit into a huge cavern at the center, but I let Destiny be surprised as we go, just admiring the sights with her. It never gets darker than dusk in the mountain thanks to the glowing stones, and we don’t even have to worry about the pesky heat-seekingshuggas,Dhugar's only reptile, know for trying to crawl into our fur–or her suit, I imagine–if we were in the original mountain. Those are one animal I'm glad to see extinct.
“Oh, Khur, look! What’s that light ahead? It’s so bright!”
Now Destiny is pulling me along and I am helpless to resist. Within a minute, we’ve entered the great cavern and the light from the heart of Ulvand beams down on us. It’s not blinding, but after being in the dim tunnels we both have to squint a bit to adjust to its brightness.
“Oh Khur, it’s beautiful. What is it?”
She is facing away from me, face tilted towards the magnificent gem embedded in the ceiling, so I sink to one knee in the human tradition and start the speech I have memorized.
“It is the Heart of Ulvand. The largest diamond on Dhugar, possibly in the galaxy, plucked from the great mountain and deposited here so that we may all love it and enjoy its beauty."
