“He’s right,” Levon says. “I mean, he usually is, but let’s not tell him that.”

I huff out a laugh, thinking about my last four heat pills. Is it considered hiding if I ration them?

“I’m off all of my suppressants except for one,” I confess.

“Which one?” Santo asks. They’re like bookends on either side of me, and it’s late enough that we’re alone in the lobby.

“My heat suppressant. I’m worried about going off it. There’s the fact that we’re basically long distance, I travel often, and I’m terrified of being in pain and alone,” I explain.

Miles catches part of what I said as he comes back, and I can see the wheels turning in his mind.

“We have a lot to work out,” he admits as he points toward the elevators for us to begin walking. “I want to tell you not totake your heat suppressant and see what happens while you’re staying with us for the week. I found us a place while I was waiting for you outside the bar and booked it. You have an option that you haven’t considered yet.”

“What’s that?” I ask, following him into the elevator car with the guys.

“Stop taking the suppressants all together and let us take care of you,” Santo says, realizing where Miles is going with this.

“It may not happen this week,” I warn.

“I heard that an omega’s heat can be brought on by being around her alphas’ pheromones," Levon muses. “It happened to some friends of mine. I don’t want you to be alone for this.”

Damn. I think about this as I get off the elevator with my alphas. I’m going to be anxious either way, maybe I should go for it.

“Let me see if your bag is in here before you go with Santo and Levon,” Miles says, letting himself into his room.

Suddenly, I’m really unhappy that he’s gone. Wrapping my arms around myself in a hug, I swallow down a whine. This is silly, Caelia.

Levon hugs me from behind, whispering, “You don’t have to hug yourself when I’m right here, baby. Penny for your thoughts? What’s up?”

Santo waits patiently beside us, his brows knit in concern.

“It’s silly,” I confess.

“You’re hunched over and making yourself small,” Santo observes. “Take space, baby. You’re not bothering us by telling us what you need.”

Miles walks out of his room with my bag in his hand and I blow out a breath.

“I feel odd splitting up,” I say. “I don’t want to be away from you, Miles.”

“Grab your shit, Coach, you’re being tapped in,” Levon teases, kissing my cheek. “Was it hard?”

“Was what hard?” I grumble, staring back at Miles as he stands stock still in the hallway.

“Asking for what you want,” Levon says, squeezing me gently.

“I suppose not.”

“Ah, so am I getting my bag too?” Miles asks. As the guys smirk at each other over my head, he sighs. “I guess I didn’t think this part of things through. I’m an only child and sharing doesn’t come easily.”

“I’m unsurprised by this,” Levon snorts.

“But, it doesn’t bother me as much as I thought it would,” he finishes. “Caelia, watching Santo make you come tonight was really fucking incredible. At the end of the day, I want you to feel adored, loved, and safe. So I guess I’m going to get my bag.”

My eyes water with emotion as I nod. Miles didn’t pull any punches with his words just now.

“Well fuck. Did he just tell you he loved you first?” Levon asks as Miles returns to the room.

“First?” I squeak out.
