Ignoring her, I move to the main hallway where fans from the game are celebrating and singing. It’s a fucking mad house, and I can’t find my girl.
“I have a bad feeling,” I mutter.
At least my height helps me to see over everyone, and I grunt as I catch sight of something..Pink hair has me pushing through the crowd to help Addie get free of it.
“Where’s Caelia?” I ask. “Did you lose each other?”
“I was holding her hand, and someone broke my grip,” Addie says, tears running down her cheeks. “I turned around to find her, and she was being pushed. Miles, she thought someone was watching us in the stands today. I don’t think she was being paranoid either.”
“Show me,” I grunt, turning to find Marilyn wringing her hands. “Tell Santo to come find me, please.”
She nods quickly, glancing at Addie.
“I’m going with him,” Addie says, brushing the tears away determinedly. “She was pushed into a hallway a little further down. There’s just too many people.”
“I’ll fix that,” I mutter, my hand on her shoulder as we walk. “Move the fuck out of the way! I have an emergency!”
People startle and move to give Addie and I space as I walk determinedly to find my girl.
“Miles?” Addie asks softly as she practically runs beside me.
“Tell me.”
“One of the alphas who hurt Caelia played tonight,” she says. “He was on the ice. What if…”
“Fuck.Who?”I ask, breaking into a jog so Addie can keep up with me.
“Luis Meyer,” she rasps. “It couldn’t have been him who pushed us apart, right? He was playing.”
“I wouldn’t put anything past that dickhead,” I mutter, wishing that Caelia had told me.
Entering the hallway that Addie points toward, I hand her my phone.
“There’s a group pack text. Tell the guys where I am,” I say, not looking back when I hear Caelia scream.
My feet are moving before I can spare a second to think, my legs carrying me closer to my girl. I won’t allow history to repeat itself. Not in my fucking city, not to her.
CAELIA
This hallway must be one used by employees, because it’s empty and seems to go deeper inside the stadium. As often as I come here for games, I’ve never had a reason to go this way.
“Little Omega…” McCreuger taunts me, getting closer as I run. Fuck, he’s taller than me, more athletic, and so much bigger than I am.
There’s no end to this hallway, and it still comes as a surprise when McCreuger yanks on my hair, dragging me toward him. Dropping to the ground to pull him down, I turn and kick his knee with my boot.
“Fucking bitch, that’ll cost you,” he growls, falling back and dragging me up his body by my hair. The buns are falling out due to him manhandling me, and a ribbon brushes my face.
McCreuger flips me onto my stomach as I struggle, ripping my leggings off as he digs his knee into my back.
“So pretty and young still,” he chuckles darkly. “It’s my lucky fucking day, isn’t it?Don’t fucking move, Caelia.”
I mewl and scream, even while pinned underneath him. His alpha bark removes my ability to control my movements, and I’m locked in the dark recesses of my mind. My memories are telling me that I’m going to be cursed to relive my past, and that there’s nothing I’ll be able to do to change it. My body jerks into paralysis when he shoves his fingers inside of my cunt, my brain going blank.
No, no, no.The internal running dialog in my mind tells me to move, fight, do something, but my body won’t listen to me. It’s struggling to protect me, shut down, anything but work.
“Fuck, I love making you scream. It’s not as much fun when the whores are willing. I’d much rather blood for slick, Caelia,” McCreuger groans. His fingers are violating me, and yet, I remain pliant, unable to breathe.
My alphas fill my mind, and I can practically hear them begging me to fight, to come back to them. It feels as if I’m fighting through sludge, the bark holding me in place, even as I try to fight it off.
