Daisy blushes as Amber whistles, “Get it, girl!”

Double D kicks her legs up, and I swear her tits bounce down to her chin. Jesus Christ. Scott looks up at me, asking if I saw that, too. I ignore him, holding her legs up. Shortly after, she’s kicking her legs, trying to get down. Once she’s back on her feet, she’s fixing her cleavage, and I don’t bother to look.

“Amber,” I shout. “I’m going to hold Scott up. You know what to do?”

Amber nods, blushing as she walks over.

Scott does a handstand, and I barely have to hold him up as Amber releases beer into his mouth. When he gets down, Amber takes my revenge and soaks his shirt. Now Scott is tearing off his wet shirt, revealing his abs. She starts eye-fucking him, and I hear Rocky in the distance saying it’s his turn.

Rocky walks over without Alix, so Scott says as he dries himself, “Where’s the blonde?”

Rocky shakes his head, not answering, and does a keg stand. Everyone waits in line, and a group of girls giggle and spray each other’s shirts. My cue to walk away.

I dip out before another idiot can saytruth or dare in Rocky’s room.

When I’m heading for the exit, Alix grabs me to the side.

“Where are you going?” she asks, and I look around for Cecily.

Alix grins. “I ditched her outside. Are you really leaving right now?”

I nod. “Yeah, I’m going home.”

She tilts her head at me, playing with her hair. “Are you––”

“No,” I answer, shaking my head. I don’t care what the hell she’s about to ask, and I should stay out of whatever game she’s going to play. I step out into the front, but she follows me.

“You don’t even know what I was going to ask,” she says, but it doesn’t matter.

I shrug, picking up my pace.

“Ce never mentioned that you were a dick,” Alix says. “So, you must really like her.”

My feet stop, and I glance at Alix, who’s had a little too much to drink. She walks up to me and places her hand on my chest. “Come on, Dylan.”

“What do you want?” I ask. Her eyes are blue, her face is covered in cakey makeup, and she smells like eucalyptus, which is not appealing at all.

She shrugs. “Just wanna get to know who my best friend is hanging out with.”

I open my arms, shrugging her hands off me. “Here I am.”

She snarks, “You’re not her type, you know.”

I look back at the party, wondering if Ce is looking for her drunk friend yet. “Yeah, I know.”

“So, you know that she’s obsessed with my brother?” Alix asks.

Trick question, I assume. So, I don’t respond.

“And you know that one day she’s going to be my sister-in-law, and I don’t need you in the mix ruining that.”

I stare at her, not knowing what her deal is. I’m not going to ruin anything, but I don’t say that.

“Ce is going places in case you haven’t noticed. And when she realizes that she never needed college, she’ll realize that she was too good for you, and all you’ll be is a nobody. Just the boy she fucked a few times and meant nothing.”

I stare at her, trying to figure out what her problem is. Everything she’s saying doesn’t hurt me like she thinks it will. Cecily and I are friends first. And that’s what matters.

“Hey, frick! There you are!” Cecily calls out from the door. “Why are you out here…” Cecily’s words die. “Hey, Dylan.” She glances down at me. “Are you leaving?”
