We walk in, and I almost laugh at how dull my bedroom is.

“Impressed?” I ask.

She shakes her head, and we both laugh.

She sits on my bed, her curious eyes scan my room. “Do you have any secrets around here?”

I shrug.

She stands. “Oh my god. Do you have a box of your ex-girlfriend’s stuff?” She drops to the ground and looks under my bed. Luckily, there’s nothing under there. “I think you have a lost shirt under here.”

She sits on my bed and says, “Entertain me.”

I chuckle. “I thought you wanted to lie down?”

She shakes her head. “Not anymore. Dance for me or something.”

I shuffle my feet around as she watches. I extend my hand out. “Dance with me.”

“Without music?”

“Alexa, play music for us to dance to.”

She looks around the room to find the voice. And then the music starts playing loudly.

She turns to me. “Are you serious?”

I snap my fingers and move my feet. “You said you wanted to dance.”

And then we’re both moving our bodies to the beat. I can’t hear anything over the music because she turns the volume all the way up. She moves her hips to the beat, jumps on my bed a few times, and grinds against me. I keep it casual by following her lead.

After a few songs, she screams, “Alexa! Pause!”

Then we’re left in the silence of my room. She grabs my shoulders and forces me to sit on the edge of my bed. She climbs on top of me, and the scent of her perfume hits me all at once.

“What’re you doing now?” I ask, amused.

She bops my nose and hangs her hands around my neck. I sit further on my bed to make her more comfortable.

“Just catching my breath,” she says.

“Are you sober yet?”

She wipes her forehead and then wipes it on my cheek. “I’m sweating it out, smut.”

I stare at her, feeling the wetness on my cheek. The air makes it feel cool. I can’t help but smile.

“Are you really failing your classes?” she asks.

I place my hands on her back and say, “You’re quite the distraction.”

She laughs. “You’re blaming me?”

“Look, I…” I trail off, unable to find my words.

Her eyes widen. “Please continue your sentence, Etta.”

I nod. “I train with the guys already.”
