I ran my fingers through my hair, feeling annoyed.
Was I ready to admit that my pet had somehow weaseled her way into my heart?
I shook my head, laughing inwardly.
That mouthy little brat has made me soft.
I looked at Yara and shrugged.
"It isn't you, Yara. I'm preoccupied with other issues I have on my mind."
She tamed my black heart. She owns me, and I have to leave this island as soon as possible to pay her a visit.
"Get dressed. I need to head back to R.I. tonight. You still have a rented apartment there, so you can come with me if you want to, or you can stay here. I don't care either way."
She shook her head with fire in her eyes.
"It's that girl again, isn't it?"
I just looked at her and remained silent. There's no need for me to explain myself to her because it's none of her business. I raised my eyebrow at her, waiting for her answer.
"Well?" I asked impatiently.
"Are you coming with me or staying here? I have some loose ends to tie up. I shouldn't be gone too long."
She stared at me icily.
"I guess I will go back with you. What will I do out on this isolated island by myself?"
I nodded.
"I will bring everyone back with me then. We will return when I am finished."
Yara didn't say another word. She got dressed and followed me back into the main area of the Villa, pouting. I got my pilot on the phone and told him toget his ass over here; we needed to leave immediately.
Atlas
We left St. Thomas at 6:30 PM and landed at 11:45 PM. I sent everyone to their apartments and headed to Barney's, where my pet was still on display for all the salivating maggots looking for a quick fuck.
Of course, I was here mainly to keep her out of harm's way, but now, being close to her made me think differently. I don’t want anyone to touch her ever again. She wasalways mine.Nothing would ever change that.
When I pull her out of this dive, I will make her understand how much I own her. I met Jacob in the parking lot to get the report. He laughed when he saw me.
"You just can't stay away, can you?
I flipped him off.
"Fuck you. Just tell me what's been happening for the last six hours."
He grinned at me.
"Sure thing, boss. I can tell you nothing much has gone on since she arrived. She met her friend, and they ate dinner and danced most of the night."
I lifted my brow, rolling my eyes.
"Obviously, I'm aware of that. Is she with any guys? That is the only thing I am interested in knowing."
Jacob grinned, shaking his head. I am glad he finds this entertaining, because I certainly do not.
