He laughs. “Okay yeah, I did. But all my work is exemplary.”
Max parks near the front steps and we all hop out. That’s when I notice that the driveway has been plowed and the lake has a spot cleared for ice skating. “Was one of you guys out here earlier this week?” I question, looking at my guys. They are all grinning at me.
“Yeah, we wanted to make sure everything was ready,” Ben answers.
I nod. It was probably mostly Ben but it’s a really good idea. It would have put a damper on the weekend if we had to spend the first hour of it shovelling the driveway just so we could park.
Max unlocks the door, and we all go inside. Just like home, this place is stunning. The front door opens into a huge den with a large black sectional sofa separating the living room from open kitchen in the back. The kitchen itself has beautiful marble countertops and dark green cabinets with gold handles. On the far wall is a dark wood staircase leading up to a loft and what appears to be some more rooms on either side.
This place is beautiful.
“Yeah, this place has no business being called a cabin,” I echo my earlier sentiments while looking around in awe.
My eyes land on Andy. He’s practically vibrating with excitement and has a huge grin on his face. “You should go check out upstairs!”
I look to Max and Ben, but they both just grin at me too. I give them all a look of skepticism and sigh before making my way up the stairs. The loft itself is a large, open space with floor to ceiling bookshelves on every piece of wall that doesn’t have windows. The wood matches the rest of the cabin, and two large, extremely comfortable looking black leather couches face each other in the middle of the room. There is a beautiful, live-edge wood coffee table between them.
“Woah.”
I hear my guys come up behind me. “That’s not even what I wanted you to see. Go look behind door number one!” Andy gestures to a door on the left like he’s a gameshow host.
I walk over to the door but before I open it, I look back and see my guys right behind me. Their excitement is both contagious and unnerving. Other than telling me we were going out to a cabin and that we might do some ice skating, they gave me no other hints about what was happening this weekend.
I mean, I’m obviously expecting lots of sex, but even Ben is acting weird and he’s usually the prudent one of the three of them.
“Should I be concerned about how excited you all are?” I ask.
“No, you should be excited about it,” Max answers, giving my lower back a little nudge closer to the door.
I open the door into what at first glance appears to be an ordinary bedroom. It’s decorated with the same black, green, and dark wood scheme as the rest of the house but when I take a closer look at the bed, my mouth drops.
The bed is huge. Like, impossibly huge. I’m pretty sure they don’t make mattresses that big. There is more than enough room for us all to sleep on it and be comfortable. The room hasthe vague smell of freshly cut wood, which leads me to believe that this must be what the guys actually came up here early for.
I walk further in the room to take a better look. The bedframe has four posts that reach all the way to the ceiling, with flowing viridian drapes all the way around. To the right is a door that leads to an ensuite bathroom, and a large dresser sits against the left wall.
“You guys, this is incredible. Did you build this?”
I turn around to find my boys staring at me, bare chested with darkened eyes. Sometime in the few moments I had been admiring the room, they had all removed their shirts. I have never been more instantaneously intrigued and turned on.
“Do you like the bed?” Ben asks, his tone light and completely at odds with the mischief in his eyes.
“Yes, it looks very warm and comfy. And big enough for all of us.”
“That’s the idea.” Andy’s grin is wicked.
“You guys took your shirts off,” I blurt out.
“We did,” Max replies.
“You guys could at least buy me dinner first,” Obviously, I know where this is going, but leave it to me to make a joke in a time like this.
“It’s 10 in the morning, firefly,” Ben answers me.
“Yeah, there is lots of time before dinner,” Andy adds.
“And we’re only hungry for one thing,” Max says, stalking over to me.
“Oh, and what’s that?” My attempt at being coy is betrayed by my nervous excitement.
