“No need baby. I’ve been waiting for this since you showed up in those ridiculously tight jeans this morning,”Max growls before pushing into me with one hard thrust.

Fuck YES.

Max fucks me quick and dirty, but so deliciously deep. My breasts drag against the smooth wood of the desk as he pounds into me, only adding to the intensity. Then, just when I think it couldn’t possibly feel any better than this, he reaches around my front and starts rubbing my clit in small, furious circles.

“Oh my god, Max!” I cry as I find my release. He comes right after me, grunting my name with one final hard thrust into me.

We both still for a moment while we catch our breath, but too soon Max is pulling out of me and helping me back into a standing position. I turn to face him and see Max admiring me with a telltale sated smile gracing his lips.

“I would happily have kept you in that position and fucked you again gorgeous, but it’s not totally private here and I don’t want anyone seeing your O face except me.

“And Andy,” I remind him, reaching down to grab my pants from the floor.

Max chuckles, “Okay and Andy. Ben too, if you two decide you want that. But no one else!”

I’m not sure how I could possibly need a third man in my life when I’m being so thoroughly fucked and taken care of by two already. But it’s not like the idea isunappealingto me or anything. Just feels like maybe that would be pushing my luck. Besides, Ben has given me no reason to think that he would even be remotely interested in something like that.

“What the fuck?” Max exclaims as I’m pulling my jeans back on.

Max is looking out the front windows and I follow his line of sight until my eyes meet Chucks. I stare, shocked to be seeing him again. The years really have not been kind to him. His dark hair is dirty and overgrown. Dark circles line his bloodshot eyes. He looks nothing like the boy I remember but at the same time, it’s exactly how I would picture him in my head if I ever allowed myself to think about this haunted part of my past.

A menacing grin spreads across his face as achill runs down my spine. Max buttons his pants and launches himself over the desk before I even have the chance to button my own. He’s too late though, and Chuck has taken off before Max gets the door open. He looks like he’s going to start chasing Chuck down the street.

“Max!” I call out. “Just let him go.”

“This psycho is fucking stalking you now!” Max growls. “How does he even know you work here?”

I am wondering the same thing myself. I can’t seem to shake this dark, ominous feeling and I visibly shiver which makes Max come over to me and wrap me up in his arms.

“I want you to come stay at my place tonight. At least until we can figure this out.” Max rubs small, soothing circles on my back.

I nod into his chest because I can’t seem to find my words. Chuck has always had this power over me that makes me shut down. Just seeing him makes me panic even after all this time. I don’t even want to think about what Max means by “figure it out” but if it means that I never have to see Chuck again, I don’t care what it is. Well, at least in this moment when my feelings are running so high, I don’t care.

Max keeps his arm around my shoulders as he takes me out to his truck and helps me in. He reaches up and gives me a quick kiss. “I’m gonna call Andy and just tell him to bring food home. We’ll go out another night.”

I nod again, letting Max close the door. I watch him bring his phone up to his ear and listen to the muffled talking while he makes his way around the truck. He hangs up and makes one more phone call while standing outside the driver’s side door. I can’t really hear what Max is saying, but I hear him say, “find him” as he opens his door. He hangs up and gets in, looking over at me with a worried expression on his face.

“Are you okay?” he asks me, and his hand comes to rest on my thigh.

“Yeah,” I finally manage to speak. “I mean, it's not like he did anything. He’s just so ... unnerving,” I admit.

“Don’t worry Charlie. Your boys are going to take care of it. We got you.”

Chapter 27

Ben

I blast rock music as I drive around town looking for the scumbag that Charlie has had the misfortune of knowing. Max called about thirty minutes ago, telling me that they caught Chuck peeping in on them at the rink. He took off before Max could catch him and so he left me with only one instruction: find him.

I’ve known Max long enough to know what he actually wants me to do, and I would have done it regardless. Guys like Chuck don’t learn lessons with words. Guys like Chuck don’tdeserveto learn lessons with words.

Chuck needs a physical reminder to stay away from Charlie. I hate that she has to go through this. But not just Charlie. Any girl. I would do this for any girl who needed me to.

Yeah, keep telling yourself that buddy.

I finally spot Chuck in the empty mall parking lot next to a rusty, piece-of-shit car. He’s leaning against it, smoking a cigarette and glaring down at his phone. I pull up beside him and jump out, not even bothering to turn my truck off.

Chuck looks up. “Not you again,” he groans. “Leave me the fuck alone dude.”
