I reach out, tapping his offered fist with a bump from my free hand.

“I was just headed to the bar for a shot, and to check in on our smoking hot new bartender, you wanna—” Listen, I don’t judge people if I can help it, but Sebastian Anderson is one of the sleazier businessmen in this town. He’s perpetually hopped up on cocaine or molly, and he’s always trying to grab some ass—literally. He’s not quite a bottom of the barrel–Gary Park type–but he’s close.

As his saucery eyes roam over Bex, I instinctively grip her hand tighter and pull her closer to my side.

“Well, who is this, Frank?” Seb says, reaching out his hand to Bex.

Before she can reach out her hand or even acknowledge Sebastian, I stand up to my full height and stare down at the guy. He shrinks back a bit, his eyes darting between us. “I need a quiet place to take a call,” I say.

Seb nods furiously, and I worry his head will roll right off his shoulders. “Yeah, sure, of course.” He points behind him, where there’s a faint neon outline of a door and a sign reading “Staff Only.” “Keypad is 6969,” he says, chuckling. “Go through the door, down the hall, up the half flight of stairs, and it’s the third door on the left.”

I barely mumble a thanks to Seb before I’m taking off for that neon door, Bex by my side. She doesn’t say anything as I tap the ridiculous code on the keypad, and she’s quiet the entire way down the hall.

When I reach the third door to Seb’s office, I guide Bex into the room with a hand on her lower back.

“Holy shit,” she murmurs, crossing the fairly large room to the blacked out windows on the other side. “Can they see us?”

I shake my head. “It’s a one-way mirror. We can see them, but they only see a reflection of the floor.”

The office overlooks the main club floor and, since we’re elevated, the flashing lights and writhing bodies below create a dizzying effect. Bex turns to me, and it feels like the air is sucked from the room. For a moment, we share a charged stare. The neon lights from the floor bounce across the office, illuminating the otherwise dark space. The bass from the club reverberates around us, and there’s a hunger in Bex’s eyes as she starts toward me.

“Stay there,” I say, my voice lower than normal as I stalk toward her. My pulse pounds in rhythm with the bass, and I can tell by the way her chest rises and falls that her heart is beating as fast as mine.

I reach for her waist, pulling her close, as she slips her arms around my neck. Fuck, she is so soft and warm. She feels better than my fantasies from the last few days.

She tilts her face up to kiss me, but I don’t reward her with a kiss—not yet. I know what I want with her right now, but I’m unsure if she’ll be game to play along.

“Bex,” I whisper, shifting my hands so one cups her ass while the other snakes up her back, until I’m gripping the back of her neck softly, yet firmly. “Are you a bad girl?”

Those green eyes go molten at my words, and she trembles beneath me.

“Corey, I—”

I squeeze lightly against her neck and press my body against her. She gasps, and I know she feels my hard cock pressed against her belly. “Ah ah, baby. Answer. My. Question.”

Bex’s eyes flutter, her breath coming in short pants, as she replies, “No, I’m not a bad girl.”

“Hmmm.” I lean down and trail my nose lightly along her neck, inhaling deeply. She moans, and fuck, I want to savor this woman—every sound she makes, every shiver of her body—I want to make her feel good, and I want her to have it all.

Before I can say anything else, Bex surprises me by saying quietly, “Tell me what I can do to be your good girl, Corey.”

I freeze, completely caught off guard. I don’t know what I was expecting, but it wasn’t that. Fucking beautiful, intelligent, talented, submissiveBex… and I have her in my arms.

I peer down at her darkened gaze. “You want to please me?”

She nods, eagerly, and I feel a brief flash of… Is this shame? Images flash through my mind of my work, previous films and scenes with words almost exactly like this. And then what Bex said at dinner… Is this rehearsed? Am I playing a part right now? Frank, the adult film star, and Corey, the man, were separate at one point, but now…

“Corey?” Bex pulls me from my thoughts, and I mentally shake myself from that train of thought.

This incredible fucking woman wants to be a good girl, for me? Who am I to deny her?

“Turn around, place your hands on the glass, and stick that beautiful ass out. Now,” I growl.

Chapter 10

Bex

Standing between Corey and the one-way mirror, it feels like there’s a current running between us. Knowing there are hundreds of people on the other side who can’t see us, lost in the electric charge of their own movements… I swallow hard as Corey’s gaze burns through me.
