“We will have to leave… and probably for a long time.” Enzo sits back, causing a ripple in the water.

“Oh…” I look down, pensive. “W-will w-will my parents and friends be safe?”

“We will put things in place to ensure their safety, don’t you worry,” Yamir assures me, and I nod slowly.

“You promise?”

“Hellhounds’ honor.” They say in unison, and I chuckle dryly, happy yet sad that we have to leave this place.

“Okay, then, how long do we have?”

“The sooner the better. I think we should leave as soon as tomorrow,” Slater speaks up, and that strikes me.

“What? But we have so much to do! Packing and Christmas an—” Yamir snaps his fingers and damn near everything disappears from the bathroom as if it were never there, shaking me.

“We can handle that, Mama. Don’t you worry about it,” Enzo smiles, and I swallow.

“W-well, wh-what about Christmas? Can I spend that with my family one last time?” I ask selfishly. They look at each other and smile, nodding.

“Yes, go ahead. We will be working on getting the hideout prepared,” Yamir answers.

“Where are we going?”

“Don’t know yet, but we have a cabin in the Alps that may suit our needs temporarily,” Enzo responds, and I want to shout in surprise at that, but what’s the point of being surprised anymore? At this point, I just exist to be spoiled by my Hellhounds.

“Okay then, while y’all drive the bus there, I’ll be sitting pretty and being doted on,” I smirk, and they come over, kissing me everywhere.

“Absolutely, Mama. We’ll even make sure it’s a luxury bus just for you,” Slater hums, and I chuckle.

“Good!” I joke as we make out in the tub, doing all types of unspeakable things to each other. By the time they dry me off with a plush towel, I feel and tired and don’t even want to move when they carry me to the bed, but shit, I have so much to do in so little time.

When my stomach grumbles, they chuckle and kiss my cheek, stuffing me under the sheets.

“Damshirdi(rest). We’ll go make you something, baby. Is there anything you’re in the mood for?” Slater asks, lifting the sheets over my back, then kisses my neck where my mark is.

“Hmm, maybe a bagel,” I murmur with my eyes still closed, thinking about all the stuff I need to do since we’re going to be moving in the next freaking twenty-four hours.

“Would you like some meat or eggs, Mama?” Enzo runs his thumb over my lips, making me smile because I can tell them apart even without looking now.

“No, just light butter and blueberry cream cheese.” I kiss his thumb.

“And would you like coffee or tea with that, mama?” Slater asks and I yawn.

“Coffee, please,” I answer as I snuggle into the pillows.

I pull a sheet around my chest as I watch them climb out of bed and pad away. Soon after, I hear pots and pans clanging around, and in about thirty or so minutes, they file in, carrying my food and coffee, grinning from ear to ear when I see flowers.

“Aww, thank you, Sye,” I call out to them as they set up the tray for me. “This looks so good!” I shimmy excitedly.I love it when they cook for me.

“It’s all for you, baby.” Yamir kisses my cheek, smoothing my hair out of my face, and all three of them stand there, watching me as if I’m the most precious being in the entire world, and because of the mark, I know now that it is not something I’m imagining.I can FEEL their love for me, and it feels fucking heart-stopping.

“Would you like us to feed you, Mama?” Slater asks, and I’m tempted to say yes, but they already told me that they need to secure our place after this and make sure they find a way to keep the people who might be after us from sniffing out our trail.

“No, you guys go do what you need to do. I will go see my family one last time, then I will get some things I can’t leave behind, like my journals, my laptop, and some keepsakes. After that, I think I will be all good to go.”

“Okay then, Mama, we will get changed and get going to pick up a few things, but while you’re out, wear this,” Enzo snaps, and a gold bracelet appears out of thin air, making me gasp. “It’ll protect you while you’re away from us,” he mutters, strapping it on, but then he pauses. “No, on second thought, why don’t we go with you t?—”

“No,” I turn him down swiftly. “We have a lot to do, and it’ll be awkward taking just one of you with me to say goodbye to my parents.”
