She parted her lips in shock.

“Anytime you want it, and in any form. Dragon. Or human. Just ask and I will obey.”

“I don’t know many things about this, but. . .I do know that. . .it would not fit. . .”

“You would be surprised.” He let go of his cock. It slammed to the ground, causing more treasure to scatter. Then, he lowered his body back to the coins too. “And. . .you will need to deal with two.”

“Two?”

“Yes.”

“I don’t know what you are talking about and. . .d-do not show it to me again.”

“I cannot promise that I will follow that rule.”

“Why not?”

“Dragons cannot lie.” He came closer. With every step he took, the love blade dragged along the ground, carving shallow trenches through gold and silver like a molten sword being drawn through treasure. His breath curled around her in waves of heat. "Let me show you how I know we are mates."

“What are you going to do?”

“Show you a simple test.” Fast, his mouth opened wide.

Sol didn’t even have time to scream before fire exploded from between his fangs and targeted her.

No. No. No.

A golden inferno consumed her body. Helpless, she dropped to her knees, arms raised, expecting death. Korin’s flames wrapped around her, but no pain came.

Instead. . .she felt these tiny stings across her skin, like heated kisses. A flood of warmth that turned to aching, unbearable pleasure. Her body arched, mouth open in a silent cry.

Oh God. What is happening to me? This feels so good!!

It had to be true fire because the bear fur evaporated in a flash of ash.

Yet, her hair and skin didn’t burn.

It glowed, turning molten gold and glittering in the flames.

Her breath hitched.

It was pain, but the pain of no release.

Oh!!!

When the flames died down, Korin groaned again.

Ash drifted through the air, the last remnants of the fur she’d worn.

Sol now lay on the ground, gasping and naked. Only soot and coin lay beneath her. No more pelt. No more barrier.

Korin watched her with that heated gaze. "Now do you understand?"

Her lips trembled. "Yes. . .and. . .no."

She tried to sit up.

Couldn’t.
