Jamie rolled her eyes. It was better than having to bleach them after seeing Amanda’s ass. If Jamie weren’t careful, she’d be running off with Etta’s next personal assistant because of whatever was in the local water.

“Anyway…” Etta was right beside her, voice low and growling into Jamie’s ear. “I think I’ll hire a painter to create a portrait of you in this dress. Assuming you don’t mind wearing it again when we get back from the honeymoon. The sooner the better. I want to capture how you looked today as accurately as possible.”

She laughed. “I hate to break it to you, but I won’t agethatquickly.”

“Thank goodness for that.” Etta’s fingers grazed her arm. “I like to think we have a lot of youth ahead of us. Before we grow old together, anyway.”

Did she know those were the types of things Jamie wanted to hear most? Etta could say she was beautiful until she was blue in the face, but referencing their future together was much more heart-fluttering. Etta was the only woman in the world who could make her feel so confident in not only her body, but her worth as a woman. Hence, she did not flinch when Etta snatched her by the waist and hit her with a kiss.

They had kissed in front of their guests. They had kissed on the dance floor. They had stolen multiple pecks and full-blown kisses at their banquet table, in between dinner courses and cake. Yet this? This was what Jamie wanted to feel. Hot, tempered passion that could only manifest when they were alone. A private reverie, for them.

“Promise me,” Jamie said, fingers dancing upon Etta’s chest. “You’ll love me forever.”

She must’ve looked so scared, so suddenly unsure of what they had done, for Etta squeezed her tighter. “You’re the only woman I could love for the rest of my life.”

“That doesn’t mean you will, though.”

“What brings this on? You think I signed that paper and took a vow in front of those people for fun? I’ve always been a woman of my word who does nothing lightly.”

That got Jamie to smile again. “Except sleep with indiscriminate women you find hot.”

“I don’t regret doing that, but it was a long while ago. Another life. By the time I met you, I was more than ready to leave that behind me. I’m in my thirties. Maybe being a long-lived bachelorette who isn’t beholden to anything but business and money works well for other women, but not me. I’ve always wanted this.”

“Really?”

“Really. I merely thought it could never happen.”

“Really?” She was Ms. Billionaire! Ms. Hot Billionaire Who Was A Rockstar In The Bedroom! She could have any woman as her wife! Millions would divorce their wives if they had the chance to be Mrs. Coleman!

“I’m surrounded by fake people every day. I knew I would be a long time ago, but it’s still exhausting. I love coming home and finding such a down-to-earth woman like you ready to hang out with me.” She grinned. “You being gorgeous is a bonus, though, I won’t deny that.”

Jamie didn’t say anything as she poured them both glasses of champagne in crystal flutes. They sparkled more than Jamie’s dress when she handed one to her.I’m sensing a theme tonight.Smiling, Jamie held her flute up for a toast.

“To us,” Etta simply said, clinking her flute against Jamie’s.

“To us,” Jamie repeated. She sipped the champagne before holding the flute at her waist, her gaze meandering from Etta’s masculine form to the view outside.

She took the flute from her before she was finished.Excuse me?Jamie watched, in more fascination than frustration, as her wife took the drinksto the kitchen counter and returned with nothing less than fire in her eyes.

Oh my God. Here it comes.

Something gripped Jamie’s gut, and it wasn’t her wife. It was a blip of anxiety, for most women’s knees shook on their wedding night, whether they were virgins or so experienced with their new spouses that it felt like any other night. Except this wasn’t any other night. This was theirweddingnight.

“You know why I didn’t want you to change before we left the reception?” Etta asked, drawing her knuckles down from Jamie’s chin to her breasts. A sturdy bra and a little fashion tape had kept her in place all day, but that crumbled now beneath Jamie’s wife’s erotic touch.I’ve never had sex with my wife before. The more Jamie built this moment up in her head, the more she shook, not that Etta could probably feel it.

“N… no.”

That wandering hand rounded her waist and flicked the zipper in the back of the dress. Jamie’s eyes closed, mouth opening as that knowing sound erupted in the air – the sound of her zipper coming undone. “I wanted to take you exactly as you were. The moment I saw you coming toward me at the ceremony, I thought two things. The first…” Jamie’s zipper was all the way down, allowing Etta’s fingertips to touch the small of her back, “…was that I was the luckiest woman in the world to be marrying you. I may have chosen you, Jamie, but you chose me, too. I know you wouldn’t have married me if you didn’t truly love me.”

A gasp left her lips as Etta’s hand gripped Jamie’s hip. “The second?”

“Ah…” Etta brought her close. “The second was that I couldn’t wait to get you out of this dress and make endless love to you.”

That should have sounded sweet. It did, to an extent, but Etta was not a sweet woman. She was ferocious in the bedroom, the kind who took whatever she wanted – and she often wanted Jamie. Now I know. Tonight will be intense.Jamie welcomed either extreme on their weddingnight. After all, as nice as it was to make slow and gentle love, it was also wonderful to be fucked senseless and taken to unspeakable heights. We’re only young once. We can save slow and gentle for our fiftieth anniversary.

“You should savor me, then,” Jamie warned her. “You’re not going to see me in this dress again. Portraits aside.”

“I will savor every inch of you, my flower.” Etta’s lips pressed against Jamie’s neck. “By the time I’m done taking this dress off you, you’ll be begging for me.”
