“I want it,” she murmured. “Fuck me, Danica. Let’s do it.”

“Now?”

No turning back the moment she consented a final time. “Now.”

If Alicia doubted her commitment to her at any time during their relationship, those insecurities disappeared now. What was she so worried about, anyway? Danica was right. She would not have married her on a lark. Perhaps it really was possible that this was all fate. Fate brought them together. Fate set Alicia on her wandering path to make sure it intersected with the planned path of her wife’s life. Fate made them both the perfect specimens that they were after, even if they couldn’t explain why. Fate made them burn in more than passion for one another. There was respect. A sixth sense that said what the other was thinking and planning to do. Alicia’s was finely tuned as of tonight. No more surprises from her wife. She would have to work a lot harder to surprise Alicia.

Danica wasn’t even going to surprise her with an orgasm.

She didn’t often use the last of her strength to fuck her wife. There was usually some strength reserved for the afterglow or for getting back to work. Not tonight. Breath was long gone. Both she and her wife were so slick with sweat and arousal that it was only a matter of time before one slipped away from the other.

“Danica!” Orgasm came for Alicia again. She squeezed Danica’s arms, clinging to her physical strength while absorbing the emotional.Damn! Was it so shocking that she came shortly before Danica? It was like her body had the foresight to make this even easier on them.Take her deep. So deep you feel nothing but her love inside of you. Look into her eyes. Those are the eyes of a woman who loves you. She’s as anxious as you are. She blusters all the time, but she’s as worried as you are about the future. Not right now, though. It’s all about here and now.

The here was their marital bed, where their legacy was born. The now? The now was a sliver of time forever etched into Alicia’s memory.

This was the moment it all began.

“Alicia!” Such a famished sound! Alicia had never heard her name shouted like that before. Nor had she ever felt the only woman she carnally knew go at her so desperately. Alicia was not going to be walking right the next day. Or the day after that, probably.

Good.

Danica held both of Alicia’s hands above her head, groans of pleasure filling her ear like waves of pleasure filled Alicia within. She didn’t know where her body, her orgasm began, and Danica’s ended. It was not their first time feeling so emotionally raw and intimate, but it was the first time Alicia welcomed it with such an open heart – and body – and she had a hunch her wife felt much of the same way.

Her face was the most glorious sight as she stilled her hips and indulged in her own climax. Danica was a woman who wore a mask in her everyday life. Alicia knew that now. The woman she met not too long ago wore a haunted mask and didn’t know what she steeled herself against. She only knew she had to protect her person from the world, or at least until she found her sanctuary.

Me. I’m her sanctuary.

She witnessed that transformation now. Her wife held nothing back. No part of her, no matter how grand or insignificant, was spared from the upheaval brewing in this room and beyond. It was a demeanor only Alicia could appreciate, could see for what it was. One hand escaped hers and pressed upon her cheek, absorbing the heat in her skin and slipping against the sweat coming between them. Nothing could have made the moment she released every terror inside of her any sweeter.

“I love you,” Alicia whispered. “Do you love me?”

Danica descended from paradise with a groan. She also descended upon Alicia’s mouth, sharing flirtatious kisses as both of their bodies adjusted to the reality they now shared.

“I love you so much it genuinely frightens me.”

Her orgasm ended with her on top of her. Alicia didn’t want her to leave. She wanted to spend the rest of the night holding Danica to her, kissing her, sighing against her skin, and letting the solace of their love dance with the fate that had brought them together.

Fate had a lot on her plate right now.

Chapter 5

“Any news from my father?” Danica flipped her leather folder shut and addressed Ms. Sarah Clayborn on the other side of the conference table.

The assistant shook her head. “Still in DC as far as I know, ma’am. My brother says he has no plans to return anytime soon.”

“He’s stewing, then.” The top of Danica’s pen clicked against her pursed lips. Alicia finished cleaning up from their teleconference that ended five minutes ago.

I wasn’t going to stay for this, but she insisted.Alicia couldn’t go a single day without two things: endless business training, courtesy of her wife, and daily, sometimes twice daily sex… courtesy of her wife.

If Danica had been insatiable before they got married, she was an erotic nutcase now. Every night, she fucked her wife until they were too tired to continue. And, sometimes, Alicia couldn’t leave the privacy of her executive office without ending up on the couch or grabbing the edge of her desk.

Didn’t bother her. To say that her wife was more insatiable than her was a fallacy. The only things keeping them from doing nothing but fucking were that little thing called running a business… and sleeping and eating. Those fouled things up as well.

Today, however, Alicia had other things to preoccupy her. For once, it did not swing between conducting business and making love to the woman sitting next to her.She could ease up on the perfume, though. Then again, so could I.People were already commenting on them wearing the same Jean Patou.

That morning, the Moreau private jet flew to Long Island to pick up her parents and brother for a weekend trip. They were due back at any time. Alicia had every intention of being there to greet them.I even cleared my schedule for this afternoon. Abby had not been happy with that. It meant more work for her as she rescheduled meetings.

“Isn’t it a good thing, though?” Alicia asked her wife after rejoining the conversation about Russell. “He’s staying out of our hair.”
