“How do you feel?” he asks, cupping my chin in his hand and tilting me to face him.
I scan my body and wince when I think about my ass. “A bit sore,” I chuckle, “but it’s okay.”
“Here, drink this,” he says, handing me a bottle of water. “Is there anything I can do for you?”
“Just hold me.”
“My pleasure,” he murmurs, taking the water from me when I’ve finished and pulling me on top of his body.
I lie with my head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat, while he strokes my hair and my back.
“It was amazing,” I say, “better than I could have ever imagined.”
“For me too.” He kisses the top of my head. “I’ve never felt like that before.”
“You haven’t?”
“No.”
I feel him shake his head slightly, and I smile, loving that I’ve made him feel good.
“I’m thinking of coming out to my mom and stepdad,” I blurt out, needing him to know.
“Yeah? That’s amazing. Can I do anything to help?”
“No, just be here for me if it doesn’t go well.”
“Of course,” he says, “I’m here for you, whatever you need.”
“I’m thinking of going to see them this weekend; I’ll stay for your game on Friday and head to Bayside on Saturday morning.”
“You’re gonna come and watch me play?” he asks.
“Yeah, if that’s okay? I want to see you in action.”
“I think you just did, baby.” He rolls me over and kisses me.
“Not that type of action,” I laugh, pushing him off me. “Although I won’t say no to seeing that again.”
“Mmm, you’ll definitely see it again, fuck, I can’t wait for the next time I can be inside you; but only when you’ve had time to recover.”
“Good idea,” I say, pulling him down into a kiss.
Stephen
It’s the middle of the week and I’ve got something special planned for Donovan tonight. Practice was canceled so I’ve had plenty of time after my final class to set things up. When I hear his key in the lock, I move to the door and block it with my foot.
“Stephen, what—”
“Wait there,” I say, “you can’t come in yet.”
“Why not?”
“Do you trust me?” I ask.
“Of course I do, but—”
“Here.” I pass him a scarf through the door. “Cover your eyes.”
