“You think your parents would react badly?” he asks.
“My dad, absolutely, but he’s in prison for murder so…”
“Oh, shit!”
“Yeah… my mom, I don’t know. She’s religious, and her new husband is quite conservative. And it’s hard to know how much my dad’s opinions rubbed off on her.”
“My parents are religious too, they go to church, all that stuff. But now their church gets involved with the local Pride event, they hold vigils during protests, and it’s become a safe space for people to go. Their church and religion aren’t for me, but they’re trying. I guess, I’m just trying to say, don’t hold it against your mom, she might surprise you.”
“Yeah, thanks Jamie.”
“You’re welcome, sweetie. Come here.” He pulls me into a hug, and it makes me miss Beth so much, it feels nice to have a friend here.
“Hey you,” Stephen greets me as I walk through the door, pulling me into his arms for a kiss. “I’ve missed you.”
“I’m only home a few hours later than usual.”
“I know, but I still missed you,” he murmurs, holding me in a hug.
“I ran into Jamie and went back to his place.”
“Wow, he doesn’t waste any time, I literally messaged him this morning,” he laughs. “Sorry, I should have given you a heads up. I wasn’t expecting him to talk to you today.”
“It’s okay, we had fun, and look, I got a goody bag,” I say, holding up the rainbow tote bag Jamie sent me away with.
“Oh my god, he’s like the gay Yoda, sharing queer knowledge far and wide.”
“Yes, and the force is strong in this one,” I say, signaling to my chest.
He picks me up and I squeal with laughter.
“You are the droid I’m looking for,” he chuckles, as he lays me down on his bed.
We make out for a while; even though we’ve done other stuff, kissing him will never get old. I love the way he feels pressed against me, my arms wrapped around his neck as we explore each other.
“So everything went okay with Jamie?” he asks.
“Yeah, we talked, and he answered all my questions, I might have even douched…”
“You did?” he asks, a confused look on his face.
“Yeah, he said I might feel more comfortable having the first time be in his restroom where I had space, rather than our dorm bathrooms, and he was right.”
Stephen chuckles, “Good point, that makes sense. So… how do you feel?”
“Clean… very very clean,” I laugh, not knowing how else to explain it.
“Can I find out for myself?” he asks softly.
“I’m not ready for sex, but you could use your hand… if… if that’s something you’d want to do? Jamie said it might be better to build up to sex, using my hand, or someone else’s hand, a few times first… to get used to the sensations.”
“Well you’re sure as fuck not using anyone else’s hand,” Stephen says, his voice deep, darker somehow. “I wanna feel your tight little virgin hole myself.”
“I thought you said virginity was a social construct?”
He smirks. “You remember everything I say word for word?”
I nod, the look in his eyes so intense I feel like I’m being devoured.
