Emmy grinned widely. Abby, Stella, and Jade wore knowing smiles.

“I was going to ask if you’re ready, but I think I know the answer,” Emmy teased.

“I just need five minutes. Come on in.” I waved them toward us, and Connor carried me to the guest room.

“You don’t have any jokes for them?” I teased, as he closed the guest room door behind us.

“Nah. I saved them for you.”

He leaned against the door while I pulled some clothes out of my bag. After a moment of hesitation, I swapped the oversized sweatshirt I’d been holding for a cropped tee, just in case the store needed to measure me while I was still dressed.

Everything wasfinal saleat the place I’d booked an appointment at, so I needed to make sure it fit as close to perfectly as possible. I’d definitely be paying to rush any adjustments that needed to be made.

After I swiped some mascara on my lashes and tied my hair up in a ponytail, I met Connor at the doorway.

His hands skimmed my waist, brushing the scar his wolf had left there. He seemed to have a thing for touching it.

“You look really fucking good, Zoe.”

“I think you’re obligated to say that.”

He cupped my face, tipping my head back so he could kiss me slowly. When he pulled away, I was breathing a little fast.

“I’m not obligated to want you, Gorgeous. Just really fucking attracted to you. Accept it.” His thumb dragged slowly over the scar on my hip.

“Okay. I really need to leave, though.”

“After you’ve acknowledged my attraction.”

My face flushed. I was definitely slick between my thighs. “How do you want me to do that?”

“Repeat after me,” he said.

I sighed. “Alright.”

“Connor, you’re really fucking horny for me,” he said.

“Dear lord,” I muttered.

“Say it.” His grin was enough to turn me on more.

“Connor, you’re really fucking horny for me.” My cheeks blazed.

“Good girl.” His thumb dragged over my scar again, and I shivered. “Go pick a wedding dress. Have fun.”

“Okay.”

Despite our words, neither of us moved.

“You’d better not be screwing while we’re all waiting out here!” Jade yelled from the living room.

“Oh god.” I pressed my palms to my cheeks.

“Feel free to wait on the porch,” Connor called back.

My friends all burst out laughing.

I shook my head at Connor, my hands still on my flaming face.
