Chapter Twenty-One
Luke
Sex with Tayler is better than I imagined. It’s a revelation, honestly. She’s the complete package: confident, assertive, and demure. And bundle that up with the fact that her body is killer. She doesn’t have the kind of body that screams “I work out”; instead, it’s soft and a little round in all the right places. Not only that, the girl has freckleseverywhere. It may be the biggest turn-on of all, and that surprises me. I found myself wanting to use my tongue on her like I was drawing a connect-the-dots picture. There are thousands of them, so you can imagine how much fun that’d be. And between each dot is porcelain skin. She looks like a tapestry, and it’s beautiful.
When we woke up the next morning, I made her breakfast, which we ate on my living room couch. She helped me clean up, and then things got awkward. I don’t ordinarily do sleepovers and definitely not at my place, so I wasn’t sure if I should take her back to bed or hint for her to go home. Honest to fuck, I wasn’t sure I could do it again that morning. The woman wore me out. But looking at her in her tiny pajama shorts and tank, I was willing to go again. I’d have time to recover later.
But she did us both a favor, and as soon as the dishes were done, she told me she needed to get home. She had homework.
I breathed a little sigh of relief, but she couldn’t see it. It was all inside. I gave her a quick kiss and promised to call her. That was two days ago. I know I need to call her, so I do the next best thing.
Me:Hey
I don’t have to wait long.
Forever Girl:Hey
That’s it? She’s not gonna give me more than “Hey”? Now what? Do I need to say more? Shit. I have no idea what the fuck I’m doing.
Me:What’s up?
Forever Girl:Same old.
Same old? WTF? I don’t know her well enough to know what “Same old” even means.
Me:Gonna give me more than that?
Forever Girl:Are you?
Mother….
Me:My head hurts.
Forever Girl:Oh? Are you okay?
No.
Me:I’m sure it’ll go away.
Eventually.
Forever Girl: Do you have aspirin or something?
Me:Yeah. Took some.
Forever Girl:Can I do anything?
Yes. You can show up in nothing but a coat. But I suppose that’s friends-with-benefits territory, and we know how she feels about that.
Me:Nah.
Forever Girl:You sure?
Me:Yep. Need to get ready for work.
Forever Girl:Feel better.
Me:Talk to you later.
