This is the last fucking thing I need. This was supposed to get me out from under King’s thumb. If anything, this shit show may have madethings worse. King isn’t going to want to hear that I had an altercation with one of his men over a woman. The club lawyer at that.
There isn’t anything between me and Cassie. It was a one off. One I haven’t stopped thinking about, far too many times to be healthy. Reliving the moment I sunk into her hot, wet pussy has kept me awake too many nights since it happened.
That is beside the point. Fuck knows where he’s gone but he needs to cool off, and I’ve no intention of going after him.
“Problem?” Ragnar appears at my side.
“Nothing I can’t handle,” I say. My men step back but don’t go far. At least they show respect to another Prez.
“Handlebar ain’t the kind to lose his rag. That is one calm country boy.”
“What can I say, it’s been a long day,” I tell him, grabbing my beer bottle. My meaning is clear, I have no intention of discussing my club business with him. This shit is going from bad to worse.
Ragnar hums and nods his head. “This isn’t what we signed up for. And a word of advice, you might want to get your guy away from Sapphire.”
He nods at the woman who was coming on to me, her tits are now practically out of her top as she chats with Quincy. He’s the only one who hasn’t come over here when Handlebar lost his shit. His eyes are locked on her tits, one hand on her waist. He looks like he is about to go for it.
“She ain’t an old lady but she’s knocked up by someone you don’t want to mess with, not after you’ve already got some strife within your own crew,” he adds with a snide smile.
Fucking hell.
“Maybe King had a bad idea for the first time in his life,” Ragnar says without looking at me. “He may be good with bringing you in, but not everyone else is.”
“I don’t do well talking around shit,” I tell him. “Be straight.”
His eyes lift to mine. “There are only so many people I can keep an eye on at any one time.”
Bullshit. He’s the President, he can keep everyone here in line. He’s telling me if anything happens, he warned me. He walks awaywithout another word. I really should have seen this coming. This is the first time we’ve been around any other chapter than the Sussex one.
King is the head of the Sussex Chapter, but they are the founding chapter of Devil’s Chaos and following the official hierarchy, what comes out of Sussex is final. He’ll be annoyed about this. I’m not sure if it will be at Ragnar. Or me.
“Go get Quincy,” I tell Jefferson. “Before he gets his balls ripped off.” He doesn’t question me, he walks away. “We’re out of here.”
“Now?” Talon asks. He hadn’t heard what Ragnar said to me.
“We’re not welcome.”
He shakes his head but knows better than to cause shit.
Handlebar has caused me enough headaches. While my men gather themselves, I head outside but there is no sign of Handlebar out here.
A quick scan of the area tells me his bike is gone too. He’s seriously taking this that hard? Fuck, if I’d have known I wouldn’t have…
Well that’s a lie. Nothing could have stopped me fucking Cassie the other night. Even if it is going to cause me a bigger problem than I wanted it to be. I take out my phone and text Jefferson.
Mace:
Find somewhere for us to stay and leave without causing any shit
I don’t even care what King has to say about it. These people are trying to make me look weak but I’m not putting my men at risk. There are only eight of us against a whole club here. We might as well still have Kingsmen patches on in their eyes.
Jefferson:
Hozier can’t ride
Mace:
We’ll figure it out
