"I know of a few because they were there when Chris and I interviewed with Alpha...I mean, Mr. Kersey."
"That explains a few things," Luca said. "When I was looking for the alpha, I ran into several people who had no idea who the alpha was."
Rob's eyes narrowed. "Could you point them out?"
"All but Henry. He left, remember?"
Rob's eyebrows pulled lower. "Tell me about Henry. You said he offered to help look for me?"
Luca nodded. "I'd already asked several people, but half of them had no idea who you were, so I started searching rooms. Henry was in your office working on his laptop. He offered to help me look, but then he went out the front door and got in some vehicle before peeling out down the driveway."
"He was in my office?" Rob asked.
Luca nodded.
Rob took off running. Randal pointed to the platter of sandwiches. "George, would you make sure no one touches those? I think they've been poisoned."
George's eyebrows shot up as he stared at the platter as if it was a snake about to bite him. "Yeah, sure."
Randal grabbed Luca's hand and took off after the alpha. There was something going on here and he was having trouble putting all the pieces together. The alpha obviously knew something. Randal wanted to know what that something was.
They reached Rob's office just as the man stormed out of it.
"You said this Henry guy was working on his laptop?"
Luca nodded. "Yeah, he was sitting at your desk on his laptop."
"What did he do with it?"
"He put it in a laptop bag."
"Damn it!" Rob snapped. "That wasmylaptop."
Luca's eyebrows shot up. "He said it was his."
Rob shook his head before turning to look at Albert. "Where does Henry live?"
"Rob, there's no Henry in the Silver Lake Clan."
Oh shit.
"What was on your computer, Rob?" Albert asked. "Why would someone take it?"
Rob shook his head. "Nothing of any great importance. My games, email, some correspondence, stuff like that."
Harvey grunted. "Your porn."
Randal smiled at the banter between the two brothers. It was a little weird to him, and maybe a bit bittersweet. He'd never had that kind of relationship with his older brother. Raymond had been a bastard from the moment Randal took his first breath.
"Did you have any of your banking information on it?" Randal asked.
Rob's head snapped around. "Why do you ask that?"
"Because I know my father and he is all about not getting his hands dirty. If he can pay someone else to do something for him, that's what he'll do. He just needs the money to do it."
Rob's eyebrows pulled together as he went quiet. Randal had no idea what was going through the alpha's mind, but he could tell the man was thinking hard. He hoped he had a plan or was at least formulating a plan. He didn't like the idea that his father and brother could be running free around the area.
"Albert, I need you to gather everyone together in one place, every member of the Silver Lake Clan and the King Clan. Can you do that by tomorrow?"
