"No, that's fine. You know, I never did get your name."

A soft flush heated my skin."Andrew."

"Good morning, Andrew."

My smile grew. This was a much better way to start my day than what I normally did, although I still needed coffee."Good morning, Dalton. Do you drink coffee?"

"Oh god, yes. A caramel macchiato is my spirit drink."

"I'll have to remember that."

I got up and walked over to my dresser. I had to set the phone down on the dresser so I could grab a pair of lounge pants and then pull them on, but as soon as I was done, I had my phone back in my hand. I typed as I walked out of the bedroom and headed for the kitchen. I needed that coffee to get my day started.

"How was work?"I didn't know much about how the whole stripper thing worked beyond what I'd seen in the movies and television.

"It was okay,"Dalton replied."Made enough to pay my electric bill and have some left over to go out to lunch."

That made my stomach clench. I had more money than I knew what to do with. Silver Spoons Inc. paid me very well. Granted, my bosses were billionaires, and I knew I'd never have that much money, but I was close.

I just didn't think I should mention that to a stripper I barely knew.

"Do strippers make a lot of money?"I asked as I turned on the coffee pot. I usually drank at least two cups before I left for work. One to turn my brain on and one to get me ready for the day.

"I do okay. Some nights are better than others. What about you?"

"I do okay,"I replied.

"You never told me what you do."

"I'm a lawyer,"I typed back. I just wasn't ready to tell him I was the exclusive in-house counsel for Silver Spoons Inc.

"Like ambulance chaser or lawyer lawyer?"

I snickered as I typed."Lawyer lawyer."

"Divorce lawyer?"

"No." Thank god."I work for a corporation handling all their legal needs."That was innocent enough, wasn't it?

"That doesn't sound very exciting."

I briefly thought about my work over the last year or so and then chuckled."You'd be surprised."

"Oh?"

I could almost hear Dalton's curiosity turning the wheels in his head. I wished I could give him the answers he wanted, but I couldn't. I couldn't share any of it, but if I could, the stories would be epic.

"Sorry, nothing I can share. Attorney-client confidentiality."

"No, I understand, and I like that you value your clients that way. Says a lot about your personality."

"I'm glad you understand."I hated disappointing him, and that was weird. "I wouldn't be a good lawyer if my clients couldn't trust me explicitly."

"Being a stripper is kind of like that,"Dalton replied."A lot of the clients who come into the club don't want anyone knowing they were there. You learn to ignore people on the street if you recognize them."

Huh."I never thought of that before."

"Most people don't. They think we just twirl around a pole and strip off our clothes, which we do, but there's a lot more to it than that. Stripping and using a dance pole is an art form. It takes strong muscles and a lot of practice. Oh, so much practice."
