There wasn't much reaction from Ralph and Tim, but Foster's jaw dropped.

"Real coffee?" the man gasped. "You have real coffee?"

"Yep." Sawyer grinned. "Cream and sugar, too."

"How?"

"Do you want me to explain it to you or do you want a cup of coffee?"

"Coffee," the man replied quickly. "Definitely coffee."

Sawyer poured him a cup then handed it over. He glanced at Ralph and Tim, who both seemed confused by Foster's excitement if the frowns on their faces were anything to go by. "You two want a cup?"

"I'll take one," Ralph replied.

"Do you have tea?" Tim asked.

"Uh…" Did he have tea? He couldn't remember seeing any, but that didn't mean it wasn't there. "There might be some in the storage room."

Tim smiled. "I'll take water if you have it."

Sawyer got up and walked into the kitchenette. He kept a couple of cases of bottled water there. There were a lot more in the storage unit. He wasn't sure how long bottled water lasted, but it was better than nothing.

He carried the bottle of water back to the table and set it down in front of Tim. "There's more in the kitchen if you want it."

"Thank you."

Sawyer gave Tim a nod before turning his attention to Roark. "So, what did you need to talk to us about?"

"I'm leaving the ADF."

Sawyer's jaw dropped. "What?" Roark had helped build the ADF. How could he leave it? "Why?"

"Frankie and I discussed it last night. After what I found in those papers, I just can't stay. I feel like I'm working for the very same people who tried to kill Frankie."

"What'd I miss?" Foster asked.

A whole hell of a lot.

"We found some paperwork that shows the virus was created and dispersed by the government," Sawyer explained. "We think they were using it as a means to bring down the world's population as several governments were involved in the project, but—"

"Wait," Ralph said. "You're saying that this virus thing that made me and my son sick was created by our government?"

Sawyer nodded. "It looks that way, yes."

"Do you have proof of that?"

"We do," Roark replied.

"And you're sure it was our government?" Ralph asked. "Could it be some sort of rogue faction inside the government?"

Roark nodded. "The paperwork I found leads me to believe only those at the top and those directly involved with the project actually knew about it, but yes. I am positive it was our government."

"Well, hell." Ralph frowned. "I'd say something about this new world you've brought me and my son into, but from what you're saying, this started back before we went into cryostasis."

"We actually think it started a couple of years before people started to get sick," Roark said.

"We have proof that they had the cure two years before then."
