"I've come for my son and grandson."

I had no idea how the man even knew they were here.

"No." I turned and handed Tommy off to the first person I saw when I felt him shaking in my arms. Luckily, it was Sampson, who was built like a brick shithouse. He wouldn't let anyone get to Tommy. "Please take Tommy to his room."

Sampson nodded and walked away, Henry trailing after him.

My eyes briefly met Jojo’s, which were filled with fear, before I turned back to Alpha Langton. "There is nothing for you here."

The man's eyes narrowed. "I'd like to speak with Alpha Sinclair."

I hoped he saw the hate in my eyes before I stepped back and allowed Sinclair to wheel himself closer to the doorway.

"I'm Alpha Sinclair."

The man sneered as he looked Sinclair up and down. "You? You're Alpha Sinclair?" It was obvious from his tone that Alpha Langston didn't think much of a man in a wheelchair. "I don't believe it."

"I don't really care what you believe, Langston," Sinclair said, leaving off the man's title.

I wonder if he even understood the insult.

The alpha's gaze flickered to all those standing in the entry before going back to Sinclair. "I want my son and my grandson turned over to me right now. You can't hold them here."

"I'm afraid I can't do that," Sinclair said. "They don't wish to go with you."

Alpha Langston snorted. "Like I give a damn."

"No, you never did," Jojo said as he stepped forward. He was visibly shaking. "I suspect that was always your problem. You have no empathy for anyone except yourself."

"I'm tired of this, Joseph. You've had your fun. It's time to come home."

I took a step closer to Jojo to give him my support. I wanted to pick him up and carry him away from all of this to someplace safe, but I knew I couldn't. Jojo needed a chance to stand up to his boogeyman.

"I am home."

"This is not your home, Joseph."

"Yes, it is."

Alpha Langston's eyes narrowed again, making me wonder if that was the man's natural state. "Your betrothed is waiting for you."

I growled deep in my throat. A warning growl. I couldn't help it. Not only were the man's words a clear threat to my bond with my mate, but he was talking about someone who thought they had a claim on my mate.

I was not a happy panther.

"I don't know who this woman is who you think I should marry," Jojo said as he took a step forward, "but it's not going to happen. I did that once. I'm not doing it again. I already told you that."

I was so proud of him I could burst. I realized he had a mountain of men standing behind him, ready to jump in if there was trouble, but Jojo was standing up to his father all on his own. We were just bystanders in this little drama.

"Do you need another reminder in manners, Joseph?"

"You mean another beating," Jojo snapped. "Just where is your little errand boy anyway? Keeping my betrothed company at home? Maybe you should mate them together because it's never going to happen with me."

Alpha Langston leapt forward and backhanded Jojo across the face before I could react. I roared as I leapt at the man, but before I could rip his throat out, Shade and Stone were there, pulling me back. I struggled against them, wanting to get free and kill the man who'd hurt Jojo so many times.

"I'm okay, Stalker," Jojo said as he hurried over. His hands pressed against my chest. "I'm okay. Promise. He can't hurt me anymore."

I growled as I slowly lowered my eyes to look at him. My nostrils flared with the effort it took to control myself when I saw the redness of Jojo's cheekbone.
