Chapter Six

Dan smiled when he felt an arm wrap around his waist and a warm body pressed up against him. He reached down and laid his arm over Terry's. "How'd it go?"

"No one died," Terry replied. "But there were a lot of injuries."

"How are you?" When Terry didn't answer, Dan glanced over his shoulder. "Terry?"

"I had something really weird happen to me after work. I wasn't sure if I was going to tell you or not, but I don't want to start off this relationship with secrets between us."

Dan rolled over, making sure he kept their bodies pressed together. He liked the feeling of Terry's heat. "What happened?"

"We have this new guy at work. His name is Will. He's only been there for about a week, but tonight was really the first time we've met. He rides with Jamie Kent. I ride with Jonny Bozeman. Unless there is a big accident like tonight, our paths don't really cross all that much."

Terry paused for a moment, chewing on his bottom lip. Dan reached out and rubbed his thumb across that lip, soothing the small bite. "Go on."

"Well, I needed to take the ambulance in for a maintenance check. The radio might be screwed up. Will asked if he could catch a ride to his car. I said sure, because it was on my way." Terry drew in a breath. "Anyway, we were shooting the shit, you know? Talking about Cade Creek and stuff and he asked if I'd like to go get a beer. I said sure, because why not? We work together."

Dan could see where this was going. His first thought was to get pissed, and then he realized how nervous Terry was, and how honest he was being.

"He wanted a date, didn't he?"

Terry's brow furrowed. "I think so."

"You think so?" Dan asked. "You don't know?"

"Well, I told him to give me a call and we'd go out for a beer sometime. I thought he just wanted to be friends and get to know some of the people in Cade Creek, but then he kissed me before he got out of the ambulance."

Dan growled.

Terry's eyes shot to him. "I swear I didn't know he was going to do it. He just laid one on me then ran before I could say anything."

"But you're going to tell him, right? About us?" Dan didn't know where Terry saw their relationship going, but he refused to be someone's dirty little secret.

"Yes, of course, and I would have told him when he kissed me, but he was gone before I could. I plan on talking to him as soon as I get to work."

Dan let out the breath he hadn't know he was holding. "Okay, good."

Terry's eyes rounded. "It was really weird, Dan. I mean, we were talking about Cade Creek and how great it is. He mentioned he was from Boston and how he was amazed that everyone was so open here, and then he asked me if I was gay."

"And that didn't clue you in?"

Terry lifted one eyebrow. "In Cade Creek?"

Dan chuckled. "Okay, I see your point."

"That's when he asked me if I wanted to go out for a beer sometime. I had no reason to say no. I was even thinking you'd like him and we could all go out for a beer together."

Dan's misgivings about the situation were slow to fade, but he could see where Terry was coming from. It seemed as if the guy was blindsided. And he had been honest about what had happened. He could have hidden it.

Dan smiled as he rolled over on top of Terry. His breath caught when he settled between the man's legs and felt a distinctive interest press up against him. "I have an hour before I have to start getting ready for work. Want to make sure I have a good day?"

Terry grinned. "I think I can do that."

All laughter left Dan as his level of lust went from semi-interested to automatic overdrive. Terry was damn sexy, even more so knowing that he belonged to Dan. "God, you're hot!"

Terry grinned. "Yeah?"

Dan rolled onto his hands and knees and scooted down the bed until he was lying between Terry's legs. He eyed the nice thick cock bouncing in front of his face, licking his lips.
