Chapter Seven

Gabriel’s stomach was one huge knot as he followed Dom and Chay into the house. He knew he owed both men an explanation, but he truly wasn’t sure where to start. Everything had become so chaotic. He wasn’t sure what was what anymore. Everything he had always depended on to be real was no longer real. The world as he had known it had exploded.

Aldrik had told him the men who had broken into their room were sent by his uncle. Well, to be honest, he had shouted it when the door crashed in. There hadn’t been a lot of discussion about it. Gabriel hoped that would change once Aldrik got here.

Until then, Gabriel was kind of playing things by ear. There was only so much information he could supply Dom and Chay, simply because he didn’t know anything more. He was learning as he went.

And what was that alluring scent? He had smelled it when he climbed on the back of Chay’s bike. It had made his dick hard with one inhale. He’d been hard ever since. Hell, his cock ached, and there was a very uncomfortable wet spot on the front of his jeans. He had hoped it wasn’t noticeable to the others, but one little grin from Chay shot that idea all to hell.

“Beer?” Dom asked as he held a can out.

Gabriel nodded as he took it. “Thanks.”

“You all want to eat in the living room or the dining room?” Dom asked. “We stopped and picked some stuff up before heading to the motel. Figured you might be hungry.”

Gabriel’s smile was weak at best. “Not sure if I can eat anything at the moment, but you guys go ahead.”

“What’s wrong?” Chay stepped closer.

Gabriel was confused by the concern so apparent on his face. “I’m just a little nervous, I guess.”

Gabriel’s eyes widened when Chay grabbed him and hauled him close. He wasn’t sure exactly why this guy was hugging him, but he was loath to question the reason. It felt too damn good being held by Chay.

“You go sit down,” Chay directed as he took the beer out of Gabriel’s hand. “I’ll make you some tea. It will settle your stomach more than beer will.”

Yeah, but beer might make him forget the chaos of his life right now.

Gabriel sighed as Chay gave him a little push toward the living room. He didn’t understand why Chay was being so nice, especially when they hardly knew each other. He also didn’t understand the warm fuzzy feeling it gave him when the man smiled at him.

He had seen sexier men…somewhere…maybe.

Chay did have really nice eyes and a great smile. Broad shoulders that seemed to stretch the seams of his cotton shirt. Wide chest that filled out every inch of that shirt. Flat stomach. Very impressive package trapped behind his tight jeans. Thighs that flexed with each step he took. Legs that went on forever and gave him his six-foot-five-inch height.

Damn.

Maybe he hadn’t seen a sexier man.

Gabriel sighed as he plopped down on the couch. He leaned his head on the back of the couch and closed his eyes. The last couple of weeks had been hard. Interesting, but hard. He was starting to wonder if it would ever calm down.

He doubted it.

When he heard footsteps, Gabriel opened his eyes and lifted his head. Dom sat down in a chair across from him, a beer in one hand, a plate with a slice of pizza on it in the other. He set both down on the coffee table before looking across at him.

“So, brothers, huh?”

“That’s what I’ve been told.”

“My mom was a drunk, and I grew up never really knowing my father. He left when I was just a baby. If we’re brothers, how did that happen?”

“My understanding is that we were all adopted.”

“All four of us?”

Gabriel nodded. “I was born first, then you, then Mikhail, and Rafael was last. We’re quadruplets.”

Dom’s eyebrows shot up. “No shit?”

Gabriel nodded again.
