It was interesting to see the stone-cold killer’s face flush.
“Stone?”
“I paid a hacker to get me a program to put on your laptop so I could remotely use the camera and watch you.”
My jaw dropped.
“I’m sorry, Sin. I know it was wrong, but I had to be able to see you. I couldn’t—”
I grabbed Stone’s face. The last of his words were smothered beneath my lips. I slid the tip of my tongue out, sliding across Stone’s lower lip. Stone opened for me, allowing me to invade his mouth. I plunged in, sweeping through and leaving my senses on fire.
It was a kiss for my tired soul to melt into.
“I love you so much,” I whispered against his lips. “You can watch me any time you want.”
“You’re not mad?”
“I’m flattered.”
How could I not be? This gorgeous man had put a program on my laptop just so he could watch me. Although, I was curious as to who he paid for the program.
“Where did you get the program? Better yet…and how did you get it on my laptop?”
“Ion.”
I raised both brows. “Ion gave you the program?”
Stone nodded. “And he installed it for me.”
I didn’t remember ever meeting the man in person, but maybe that needed to change. “How did he do that? My laptop is password protected.”
“Uh…your password is Stone.”
My eyes rounded. “How do you know that?”
I never told anyone my password.
Stone just shrugged.
Huh.
“I need stronger passwords.”
“Are you sure you’re not mad?”
“No, I’m not mad.” I knew I should be, but I just wasn’t. I liked the idea that Stone was keeping an eye on me. It actually made me feel safer. “You never saw me do anything weird, did you?”
Stone chuckled as he stood. “No.”
Thank goodness for that.
“I didn’t watch you all of the time. Just when I couldn’t stand not seeing you anymore. Sometimes…” Stone swallowed hard. “Sometimes, that felt like all I had. It kept me from losing my shit, you know?”
I nodded, wishing I had thought of doing something like that. I wiggled my eyebrows at Stone. “Maybe we could put a program like that on your laptop so we can watch each other.”
That could be fun.
“I’d like to add it to my cell phone, too.”
