“Is that a deal-breaker?” I asked.

He shook his head. “No. There are brothers who don’t bring their women to the clubhouse very often, but until we start a family, I want to get in as many wild and crazy nights with the brothers as we can.”

My mind was tripping over two things he said.

“F-family? Did I hear you right? And what makes for a wild and crazy night?”

He chuckled. “Baby, I turn thirty this year. I want what Alanis has, but I gotta find the right woman first. I’m just laying it all out here. Two kids will work, four would be better.”

My eyes rounded. “Four? That’s a lot, Ted.”

His chin dipped. “It’s a nice even number, babe. Are we doing this?”

My mind was overloaded with visions of little boys who looked like Ted and I responded automatically. “Yes, but no matter what happens, I get your sister.”

He tipped his head back and laughed. After his laughter waned, he looked down at me, and his eyes blazed with hunger.“Not gonna let this go bad, baby. Are you gonna kiss me? Or should I kiss you?”

My tongue darted out to moisten my lips.

“Fuck,” he hissed.

Then he kissed me.

And as usual, my toes curled and I got lost in all the perfect and delicious sensations.

He pushed forward, walking us backward into the living room. I had my phone in my hand still, and I broke the kiss just long enough to put it on an end table. Punc kissed my neck and sucked at a spot near my earlobe. I twisted my head and got his lips back on mine.

My legs hit the edge of the couch, and I toed off my shoes. Punc kept pushing forward and I fell on to the couch, then we went down and he was on top of me. I tugged at his shirt, but he grabbed my hand.

He kissed me harder, deeper, taking from me like a man possessed.

I slid a hand under his shirt, and he pulled back.

“Are you sure? Been a long time since I’ve lost control like this. We can just make out if you want.”

“Why wouldn’t I be sure?” I asked.

He dropped his head onto the couch next to my shoulder and chuckled. When he lifted up, I liked seeing him hovering over me. “Honey, you just said you’d take a shot on this. I didn’t think we’d have sex before we even had lunch.”

“It isn’t lunchtime, Ted. If I’m giving you a shot, why tip-toe around about it? We’ve wanted each other for weeks now - longer than that for me, if I’m being honest. The house is empty…why would we wait?”

“You’re sure?”

“Yes,” I said, leaning up to kiss him.

None of my past lovers had ever kissed me so thoroughly. Punc’s hands were skimming the edges of my bra under my shirt, while my hands were skin-to-skin, exploring the ridges and dips of his back.

Everything he did felt divine, and he hadn’t even touched me directly. I felt ravenous, but not for food.

The doorbell rang.

My body froze.

Punc leaned up and glanced toward the foyer, not that he could see anything from here.

“You don’t think that’s Frank, do you?” I asked.

He turned back to me and cocked a brow. “No.”
