He had been on another job for Stone Security the past two nights and must have just missed her. Though he wanted to feel her, to touch her again, it was easier to not be in the same room with her. At least that’s what he told himself.
He wanted her, but he knew that night had been a mistake. He couldn’t look at her without feeling angry, without being reminded of the hurt she caused him.
“I wish I could punish her,” Gabe said.
“Why don’t you?” Nick clapped him on the back.
Gabe’s hand curled into a fist. Except for that one time when he punished her for missing dinner at his dad’s. Punishment wasn’t part of their dynamic. He and Ivy kept their kink to the club or in the bedroom.
He was a Dominant, but he never thought of himself as the strict Dom who needed control over all things. But Ivy had asked him for more. If his father wasn’t so controlling towards his mother, Gabe might not have had the fear that kept him back.
“We don’t have punishments as part of our relationship.”
“To give a punishment, there has to be established rules,” Zee chimed in.
“Or she could agree to it as a way of wiping the slate clean?” Nick suggested.
“There’s no one way to do D/s.” Zee shrugged.
Logan placed his drill back into the open toolbox. “I don’t know if you can let your anger go, Gabe. The thing about having punishments is it’s done and over. You can’t hold on to it after.”
Gabe avoided meeting Logan’s eyes. His friend knew him too well, and Logan was the only Bandit Brother who didn’t seem as bothered by Ivy’s behaviour as the rest of them. But then again, Logan Marrock believed in living life in the moment. That was a freedom Gabe envied.
“But what if it would help you agree to let it go and give her a second chance?” Nick pressed. “You’ve been miserable and broody since the summer.”
“I don’t know. She’s not sorry,” Gabe said.
“Do youneedher to be sorry?” Zee asked. “Or do youneedher to realize her behaviour wasn’t acceptable? Or like Nick said, is it a one-time and done thing?”
“Ivy knows what she did wasn’t acceptable to you, Gabe,” Logan said.
“I don’t want to be angry with her, but every time I look at her and remember what happened last summer, it all comes back. We were happy, and she ruined that.”
“Yeah, I thought you were going to be married before I was,” Logan said.
“You’re not married yet,” Nick said.
“Close to it. Living with Harper is sweet.”
“And Xander and Ares? You’re not feeling crowded?” Gabe spat out the words.
“Nope. I get to see my submissive every day and have her all night long, and sharing has its perks.” Logan grinned.
Gabe scoffed. “I still can’t believe you share with our boss.”
Logan grinned. “That has its own perks.”
Zee laughed. “You make it look so easy, man.”
“If you want to work it out with Ivy, go for it. Ask her if she would accept punishment and agree to what that would mean,” Nick said.
“She came and applied for membership,” Zee said.
His shoulders tensed up. “What did you say?”
“I told her I wasn’t sure how comfortable you would be with her here, and unfortunately, we know about her history of outing someone.”
“That’s harsh.” Logan lifted his contraption, his thick biceps budging. Nick stepped up to help him.
