“Yeah. Less time at the show means more time to spend with you, Sirs,” Harper said.
Each of them linked their arm through hers, making her giggle.
“We thought we would take you out to the fancy dessert place if you won,” Logan opened the door to his Jeep for her.
“Can we still go?”
“Of course,” Xander said, settling in the back seat.
Logan changed the music on the dash so many times, that Xander finally turned it off. Harper laughed.
“Here we are, Angel.”
She loved going places with her Sirs. Logan kissed her as he took her hand. In a flash, Xander kissed her and for a moment, she wasn’t sure they were going to let her leave the parking lot.
“Just remember, you are our dessert later,” Logan said. Xander took her arm, Logan placed a hand on the small of her back. She couldn’t stop smiling. She knew there was a cast party later, but she wanted to be with them, this was the perfect way to celebrate her success on the show.
They opened the door to One Dessert for her, the noise of the busy restaurant making Xander’s shoulders tense. She reached for his hand.
“We’ll just take the table in the far corner in the other room, if it’s empty,” Xander said to the hostess.
“Of course, Mr. Montague. Right, this way,” the hostess led them to a quiet table, leaving them with menus.
Logan brought out his phone, “Social media is screaming that you got eliminated.”
Harper grinned. “That’s okay. I still get to go on tour with them this summer.”
“I guess we’re going to travel across the country this summer, Marrock. You up for it?”“Hell yeah. If my boss will give me the time off.”Xander shook his head. “I think it’s a very good reason.”“How am I going to explain the two of you on tour?”
“You’ll think of something,” Logan said, his hand on her thigh.
“Ready to order?” a server said.
“Water, please,” Xander said.
“I’m going to order their walnut hot fudge sundae with whipped cream,” Harper said. “And I’m not going to share.”
“You’re welcome to it,” Logan said. “Do they have anything not soaked in sugar here?”
“Logan.” Xander kicked him under the table.
The server smiled at them, collected their menus, and walked away.
“Listen, Kitten, we were thinking we might go look at houses this weekend.”
“Is Ares feeling cramped?” Harper asked.
For the past few weeks, they had been living at the Montague home and it had worked out for everyone. She’d tried her best to balance the show’s busy schedule, Xander’s exacting demands and Logan’s needs and it made her head spin, but it was nice having all of them together in one place. She promised Xander she would come into Axis Management and sort it out, though she didn’t know if she wanted to continue as his executive assistant. It would take time to train someone new.
“No, we just thought it would be nice to have a place of our own.” Xander’s eyebrows drew together.
“There’s plenty of room,” Harper said.
“I told him that, Kitten,” Logan said, punching Xander’s shoulder. “But he’s convinced we need our own space.”
The server set down Harper’s huge sundae.
“I brought extra spoons just in case you decided to share after all.”
