"Are you deaf?" I spit, not meaning to sound so harsh, or so blatant, considering the predicament that Lennie is in.

"Was Lennie upset when she told you?" Nash asks.

Billy looks confused. He sits next to me on the bed. "Are you disappointed?"

"Idiot." I mutter to myself, rising swiftly. It takes me thirty seconds to trot to my truck.
